One Small Step

A young girl lives alone with her father. From birth, she dreams of being an astronaut. She works really hard, but just being above average won't cut it. The metaphor at work here is her father's ability to repair her shoes as she outgrows them. He is not a strong man and the inevitable happens. There is nothing new here, but the story is presented in a lovely, uplifting way.

How a loving, supporting blanket can keep your dreams warm and alive. This animation reminds us all, the support we got or didn't get when we were trying toward our dreams.

The film's sight shows us how caring and believing can touch a particular life's destiny, reminding us the impact of human emotions, once again.

"One Small Step" is about humans, the ones with big dreams and the ones with bigger passion to care for them.

One of the two best of the year. I wouldn't be surprised if this wis for best animated short!

Her story. Her dream. Her succes. And its roots, desires, father. A lovely film about life. Its duties. Its anonymous maker. And the kick transforming everything. Luna Chu is one of characters reminding ourselves. And this is the basic motif for see "One small step". For its story. For its symbols. And for the seductive simplicity of it. A film about succes as result of a gorgeous dream.

This made me cry as it was so beautifully made and directed, the music was absolutely beautiful, this is the reason why I love watching short animations. It shows the love between the father and daughter will be just as strong as it is between a mother and daughter, as most films that I see, there always seems to be a problem between the daughter and father, which isn't overly true when you think of it realistically.
