Avis à la une
Fan of the director/creator of this. Always love his animation both traditional and cgi. It was just beautiful to see this kind of animation again and done well. Cast was great and I did have some laughs. In today's world when you have raunchy movies you get the idea of simple and predictable story telling. It's why I rank this lower. You had an idea before it happens on screen. These movies are made for adults (def no kids allowed watching this). I don't get why they don't put a little more depth in comedies like this (I see a lot of people comparing sausage party to this which I think very different but def some similarities). I highly recommend if you enjoy animation. Story wise you aren't getting anything complex. Again there is def laughs but not enough.
Cannot be viewed seriously, take it for what it is...
A foul-mouthed comedy in cartoon format about a dog about to have his bits off...
It's like South Park meets lady and the tramp...
I caught the kids watching it a quickly had to turn it off but decided to watch it later in the evening. Killed some time but can't say I'd watch it again.
Fixed is exactly what the trailers showed! The 2D animation looks beautiful. It makes you miss that animation style because it can look 10 times better modern day. This movie just shows us how bright it could look, if they still did 2D! It comes off as colorful! Representing the film! And all the voice actors do an incredible job. Even if a joke doesn't land. It's thanks to their voice acting that the scene is 10 times more enjoyable. They're definitely the main strong point of the movie and carry the movie the entire time. They do an incredible job! And this is a comedy, some jokes do land. Pacifically more at the end than the entire film. But, the main selling point on this is that R rated animated comedy. And yet again it doesn't work! The entire movie is trying to be so R Rated, that it doesn't really come across as funny. Because they're trying so hard to make you laugh and trying so hard to make this as R rated as possible! Making it come off as not that funny. Don't give me wrong, there's a few moments in there that I did love, that I wish the entire movie did instead of just this one segment. But the rest of the movie just feels forced. And kind of unrelated, but not really, I didn't really like sausage party because of the main story they had. I did not want to watch food attacking humans. And I was not really interested in this story either, it's just boring. You're watching a comedy and there trying to make you care for the actual plot. When in reality I did not care what was happening. I was there to laugh and even then they were trying too hard to make you laugh. It's a comedy that feels completely forced with everything it is doing. But does have nice animation and great voice acting!
I was very excited due to the director and names attached to this movie but even they couldn't save it. The animation is beautiful, the soundtrack is great, and the voice acting is okay. BUT, the pacing is weird, the editing is choppy, and voice acting could have been better. It felt cheap and offbeat as if it was supposed to be a TV show. It's okay, just don't expect a Sausage Party.
Look, I like Genndy Tartakovsky as he has shaped animation to new levels and grounds in the 21st century. But...boy oh boy, this movie was pure obnoxious, and rough in many edges.
Tartakovsky clearly is reminiscing the adult animated comedies clearing having it's influence from Judd Apatow, Ralph Bakshi and Harmony Korine. However, "Fixed" unlike having a clever satirical concept and atmosphere, the writing and concepts suffers from the notions of shock value without purpose, and poor humor, uninteresting writing, and a really messy sense of atmosphere. It's pretty much like Sausage Party, where it's animation qualities are pretty solid, but it's forced with humor that isn't funny, annoying characters, and with a atmosphere and structure that serves the purpose to become edgy and creating shock value, without substance. Which creates a dreadful and cringeworthy experience.
Throughout, the animation designs, colors and presentation offers some good models and structures, as it does remind you a lot of the 1990s and 2000s animation area. However, the good animation can't be saved when the voice performances are annoying, the characters are extremely unlikeable, and it's humor and atmosphere, as mentioned, feels like a edgy person thinks constant sexual jokes and repetitive nature is the best form of humor and comedy in the world. Interlaced with pretty awful musical score, sound designs, and some of the worst dialogue I have heard in an animated movie in sometime. There are some animation moments where the vocal performances and lip reading don't match the lips properly as well.
Alongside with it's messy pacing and some really rough editing, Tartakovsky direction is emotionless and all over the place. I honestly don't understand what was Tartakovsky trying to prove with this movie. Was it meant to be a social commentary or deep insight metaphor animated movie that uses cringe humor to create something unique and bizarre? Because if that is the case, it failed badly. I don't mind adult animation like works of Fritz the Cat, Heavy Traffic, Persepolis, and so on have been great and meaningful. But movies like this really are an insult to good animated stories.
Nevertheless, this was a bad bone and one of the most cringeworthy movies I have seen in 2025.
