Crimson Point

The story sounded promising. A man accused of murdering his daughter set free after 20 years coming back to his hometown to find answers and revenge. But the move gets a low pace very quickly. As soon as all the characters have been thoroughly introduced I was expecting some action. But it nothing happens. Until the very latest of the movie, when he finally wants to use violence, it's ended with an anticlimax. Although the acting is okay, it's just the story that fel short. Especially after watching a Scott Adkins action movie this one is very disappointing. Not sure why some rated it so high. For me it was utter waste of time.

Franks personal hell was extraordinary before and after prison. What would it take to bring the killer to justice? Would you be willing to die for the truth? Yes it's a slower movie but there's so much in what's not said as oppose to what's said. Frank is an ordinary man with problems when a tragedy befalls him. A must watch for people who understand irony.

I love the actors in this movie it's like a "supernatural" reunion! Four or five of these actors have been in supernatural more than once and I love seeing Canadian actors in series and movies. I bet they had some great stories to share about being on the same TV series.

I did not expect much from this movie but I expected at least some entertainment. The acting is good and the premise is also interesting. The whole movie feels like a student project. It is unbearable slow,which should allow for some good character development. But nothing. Soo many flashbacks, unlikable characters and some strange creative choices. But the absolute worst is the ending. Such an anti climax, pointless and not even slightly satisfying. I created this account just for the review. What a waste of time. Who expects ab action movie , this isn't it. For people that like character studies or drama, it will not be rewarding.
