A touristic trip to Bauchi!

Up North was such a delight, it was like a touristic trip of Bauchi😎

The film could have just been elevated with more solid acting and script. But overall, it was a feel-good watch

DELICIOUS

-Not many stories are shot in the North so it was a nice change to appreciate the Bauchi scenery. The cinematographers gave us a good slice of the city making us want to visit, for sure.

-Many thanks to the location managers for scouting such breathtaking areas like the animal parks, the canyons, and the festivals

-Up North sent a gentle message (without being preachy) concerning the need for girls to practice sports rather than consider it a taboo

-The score was awesome. That 'Gargajiya' song by Classiq was funky and full of vibes

BLAND

-Banky W and the rest of his cast played it safe. They were basically just repeating their lines without actually getting into the spirit of their characters

-The screenplay, sadly, did not have a powerful climax. Matter of fact, we could map out the end from the beginning

-Crisp sound engineering and more fluid editing were sadly missing...

Suitable for 14 year olds

Performed like a very clean Disney story. Limp and vacuous.

The best Nigerian Movie in decades

Honestly, this movie brought back great memories and gave me deep thoughts. This is the best movie out of Nigeria in more than a decade. This compares to old Nigerian movie classics. Kudos to Banky W, this man is pure class. I do not watch Nigerian movies because of the "garbage" most churn out, but this move right here deserves an Oscar.

Absolute 10/10

Up North the Movie was superb

This film shows off beautiful aspects of Northern Nigeria particularly Bauchi state. I can't wait to visit with my friends. Thank you for telling a beautiful story!

This movie will englighten you

As a Nigerian I know we have three major tribes: Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba. However, you don't hear the mention of Hausa in places like America. This is so sad because the Hausa tribe is the largest tribe in land mass and population in Nigeria. It's as if apart from the presidency, they have nothing left to offer, like they are meaningless to the country. Hausa's are termed the poorest-illiterates in the country. You hardly see or hear them in entertainment so the world isn't aware they even exist. This movie just resurfaced them, the music especially during the festival, was amazing I had to use Shazam, I wish they will make more movies like this. The Hausa tribe needs to be heard!
