I would just like to point out to all the people ranting about representation that one of the three creators of the show is a Muslim. It's not an agenda, and it's certainly not Netflix's agenda, because they had nothing to do with the concept or the writing. One Muslim character is not intended to represent the entire religion any more than the mostly Christian cast of virtually every Western show is intended to represent Christianity. And if you think this characterization defames Muslims in the eyes of the western world, you're wrong. It humanizes them. And that's what crushes stereotypes. Muslims are individuals; are they not?

A satirical portrayal of the "woke" GenZ personality trait we love to hate. All the characters are unlikable (as they're meant to be), can't tell if I finished watching the show out of interest or because I just wanted to get it over with.

The series is about the life story of 3 friends and the events they experienced. The friendship of Mia, Penny and Austin is enjoyable to watch. The series draws attention to the problems in social life and does it in a fun way. The series is a comedy series and I laughed in many scenes. They handled the humor element beautifully. Since the number of episodes is low and the length of the episodes is short, the series is over immediately. In short, if you're looking for a fun series, Why Are You Like This? Just for you.

Great concept and funny cast of characters. Love the ideas behind it.

Is it just me, or is every review on this page - both good and bad - written by a character from the show? I'm going to stick to Fisk, which might make this whole experience...meta.

Awful, awful show. Can't stand any test of time or audience.

The first time I watched this I had to cringe and laugh the same way I did at The Office because these characters and stories of "woke" millennials trying to make their way in the world are so abrasive but at the same time so true. The constant efforts to do right right in an ill defined world provides a wonderful landscape into what it means to be young today. Loved the show and can't wait for season 2.

Unlikeable characters, no interesting plot line, 2021's version of a show about nothing that doesn't even do a good job at that. I couldn't bring myself to watch past the 2nd episode.

Why Are You Like This is hilarious, offensive, and just brilliant. It really proves that unlikeable people who don't grow are funny too.

A satire show about woke people and how they're supposedly making things worse for everyone and themselves. Except it's all about strawman stereotypes and trying so hard to be cynical that I don't know which crowd this show wants to appeal to. This show is probably too insulting for those its talking about and too annoying for those who don't understand what's going on. Maybe there are a few die-hard anti-wokes out there who finally get their queue.

The main cast, a group of narcissists making other people's lifes a living hell, feels so out of touch with reality that it's painful to watch. Everyone else is feeling tormented and helpless against an onslaught of wokeness. Look at those poor people, they're not doing anything and then something something feminism gender racism. Maybe I'm missing something here but I also kinda don't want to find out what it is.

Because of its lack of self-awareness and deeper understanding about any of the topics it addresses, everything feels careless and tacky. And if you're still in for the jokes about woke culture, you'll be rewarded with boring characters and sitcom quality scenes. What a time to be alive.

This is a hilarious and fresh take on modern comedy. All the characters are awful, ridiculous very much watchable.

Difficult to make a good show with unlikable characters. I can get on board with bringing these modern issues to the table. Unfortunately the comedy is only moderately funny. Agree one and a half episodes, I can't go on. I've already grown to disliking all 3 characters with little hope they will turn it around in one season. Perhaps having one or 2 main characters act over sensitive, entitled, and douchy would be ok, but when they all are, it's just annoying.

I am looking forward to more! Queer and sex-positive and quirky. Fantastic.

You have a Muslim girl break fast by drinking a shot alcohol? I understand if she wasn't fasting.

The WORST part is. The girl says "Bismillah" (in the name of God) before drinking the shot.

Even making a practising girl feel bad for praying and following her religion.

You make islam look really bad, and the media never represents Muslims in a normal way. Always being portrayed as terrorists or being oppressed.

Loved every minute of it. Funny and awkward, great acting.

Consider it a personal sacrifice. I endured characters with no clear drive, a ridiculous world where 3 x 20 somethings live in a huge house on apparently one wage, no consequences for any characters actions - it was pretty much a bunch of 'funny' ideas for scenes cobbled together with a plot so loose you could see what was coming a mile off. Rik Brown, Laurence Leung & rest of supporting cast make the 3 central actors look bad because they can actually emote. Would it have been sooooo hard to teach the writers how to write a sitcom first? This could have been great.

I actually created an account so I could let people be aware that this show is the worst. The two main girls are just so ridiculously annoying that it makes me want to punch the tv screen. The script is awful, it's not funny at all and could not endure watching anymore.

Literally had me cackling like a madman on the sofa in London.

Is so scathing about so many stereotypes and tropes that are rife around Melbourne and my fellow youths. I could 100% see my own 'champagne socialism' in so many of the episodes.

Highly recommend for everyone that loves a great political satire - teaching us all to not take things too seriously!

As most other shows, this show includes some disrespectful nature towards Muslims. The girl in this show uses holy words before taking a shot, alcohol is forbidden is Islam yet they've associated alcohol with a holy word. We Muslims are tired of this misrepresentation and blatant disrespect.

I know these people and they sometimes drive me crazy. I especially loved the episode at Aegis.

I really don't have much to say other than that this show is simply hilarious. I will definitely be quoting it for a long time. Can't wait for a second season!
