Avis à la une
Honestly I was a bit dissapointed after the first episode. I thought to pretenciuos maybe. But I kept watching , because it reflects so well (almost perfect) the spnish cost live in the late 70's. Chapter after chapter the script was getting better, acting was spotless and the whole serie very catching. Absolutely well done, and great job of the Art Direction !!! A must see....
I loved this show, reminded me of the Sweeney and the professionals from the 70s and 80s. I think the show is intentionally old school and a bit cheesy, but the lot is fun and the characters interesting. I liked the resolution of series one which ties up the story but leaves things open for a second season.
There is a bit too much 'male gaze' on Sara Saloma in the camera work, but she is stunning so.....
Imagine a TV Series, filmed in 2019, that depicts a handful of Spanish Police officers tracking drug traffickers in southern Spain, circa 1975... Torremolinos, to be precise.
One series, 13 one-hour episodes. It must have taken a massive effort to get all the (even) smallest details correct.
The disco dancers were in outfits from back then, the mens clothing had the big ol' wide collars and the cars... were accurate, even down to their 'MA' (Malaga) license plates.
Standout (to me) was the gorgeous 'Sara Salamo' (La Buhita - The Owl), who has to be one of the most beautiful Women in Spain - and she can act too.
Of course there is much mayhem, dealers in "hashish" and a lot of fights, shootings and smoking. The ending is sufficiently on tenterhooks to imagine a Series Two - let's see.
The event has been dubbed in English, so no need for subs, and I rate it 9/10.

I was born in Torremolinos in 1977, and I can tell you that this is an accurate portrayal of what went down. My neighbors were the owners of the nightclub being portrayed as Camelot, it was actually called "why not". The husband did do some time in jail for trafficking hasish. I even went on one of the boats they used for transportation!
Well done. And the acting is amazing, the casting is perfect. I hope to see many more seasons.
Such sweet melancholy! Regards to the director and the actors, ohhh the actors....
I guarantee that you will fell in love with each one of them at the time! A great work, tonic, full of colour, drama, comedy, has all the ingredience! best tv show of 2019 for me.
