Paper Dragons

The premise is great. The 2 main characters do a great job (I think we will see them in more films).

The production was low budget but I think it was worth the watch.

Great storyline but you wanted to punch everyone other than the mains.

Maybe it was intentional but the supporting characters acted so poorly that you would want to punch them for trying to act.

It's a pity that this thing starts off on a fairly tolerable note. An hour of meaningless sequences later, it just free-falls into a cesspit of patheticness.

Drama is not easy, and this ultradepressing story about a man whos lifes on the sewerpipe run, towards complete damnation, due to loss of hope, and lack of faith to and from the surroundings, and if the makers are up to make you feel the claw of mentally doomed desperation then they have succeded.

Technically its not a good production, and giive a feel of groundhoggian days, the cameraman mustve got huntington due to lack of steady picture, the sound quality terribly trebled in periods, and the acting from the extras and bi-cast a bit nervous and trippy. The story and plot isnt original but has the potential to become acclaimed by the poor and the pennyless and jobless ones living in the united states of america anyway...

So a 3 minus is greeted from the grumpy old man, the claw was felt indeed, and a little warning to all the depressed and feeling unsteady,make a halt cause it might make everything worse.

Poorly written and acted. Great premise that could have been successful had it been produced anywhere else with different actors and writers. Worse yet, a terribly unsatisfying ending.

This movie takes you on a ride of a troubled father trying to maintain a relationship with his son during trying times. Strong performances from the lead cast, especially Sam Brittan. Worth a watch!
