Avis à la une
I do not usually pay attention to the 1 and 2 star reviews on IMDB as they are usually from people who rate a movie either a 1 or a 10 if they like or dislike but in this case they are spot on.
You can usually tell how bad a movie is going to be from the first 5-15 mins and within that time we have shaky camerawork that looks like it has been filmed on a Go-pro or I-phone; perhaps it was and the editing is atrocious as if it was being made by a film student, then again perhaps it was?
Then we have the directors obsession with long quadcopter shots of lava rocks for no apparent reason other than to play with his new DJI.
Add to this an utterly banal and unbelievable story with some shockingly bad scenes such as the girl swimming up through the cave when it is obvious it is filmed in front of a fish tank, it just looks so bad, cheap and nasty. Nothing happens in the movie and the dialogue is so atrocious I started to want to fast forward, which is something I rarely ever do.
The only reason I am giving this a 2 is for the music which was ok and James Cosmo who was obviously dropped into this snore-fest for movie poster cred but if you want to watch something more interesting I would suggest popping down to B&Q and spending your Netflix on a tin of Dulux and doing some DIY and watch it dry!

Horrible quality! The acting is horrible, the video editing is so cheap, specially the snake and the water part. I cant believe we watched it till the end.
It is a solid movie and I think that it exist to bring streingh to the people that need help. When I watched this movie I understood that in the life the only streingh to go on come inside yourself, no from lover or friends or sons. Really nice movie.
Don't even waste your time with this so called movie. It is totally boring and you spend most of your time watching the main character cry in a hole. The hole looks fake and you spend most of your time watching her play out the and scenarios over and over like a snake coming to get her combined with some really tedious flashback scenes that are mostly around her child and some guy that has the hots for her. You can't feel sorry for a character like this who decides to hike a treacherous environment by herself. I will never get my time back from watching this POS movie but at least I know I'll never have to see it again. Considered yourself warned!
Ahh great another IFC movie, recommended to me again by Amazon. A woman gets trapped in a hole, similar to what happened in Apocalypto to the main characters wife. She can't get out of the hole. So she flashbacks on memories of her life and what got her to this point in the first place. Similar to 127 hours. Nothing new here. No great performances. Seems like just a low budget survival movie with like 2 actors in the whole movie.
IFC.
4/10.
And IMDB has now made it so a review has to have 600 characters before it can be entered. I really don't expect that to last very long because people are sure to complain about it. But until that happens I guess we have to expect reviews to be long winded and sometimes about absolutely nothing to do with the show in question.

Le saviez-vous
- AnecdotesNo vulcanologist, or geologist, or researcher would go into such an environment so poorly outfitted, or even alone, it's the first rule. She wasn't even prepared well enough for a long walk in the park, much less exploring a volcano.
