Sai de Baixo: O Filme

It's cool to relive a show I never used to watch, lol, but in the same proportion that Caco, Magda and Aracy are wonderful, with the addition of Katiuska who I love, the rest is just downhill. I was never a big fan of Tom, Pobi has some boring characters, or I'm just too boring, the rest, unfortunately, is just leftovers, a very boring movie, only the scenes of the three initially mentioned are enjoyable and carry the whole film on their backs, a boring movie, as well as excellent individual performances...

After a long stint in prison, Caco Antibes returns to Largo do Arouche to discover that everyone is more broke than ever. The family was evicted from the apartment and, as if that weren't enough, they are living with the doorman Ribamar. Since some things never change, it didn't take long for Caco to get his entire family into a new mess. Alongside Magda, Ribamar, Vavá, Cassandra and Cibalena, this time the scam will be international and no one will want to be left out of this scheme.

Nothing special, considering the show, I was expecting more from this movie, but is funny.

Oh, well... the entire movie was a sad disappointment. I admit that I was a fan of the TV show (well, not a huge fan, but still I enjoyed watching it), so I had some expectations on this movie when it was announced. It starts on with a situation long foreseen in the show: Caco Antibes is in jail because of one of his schemes that went wrong (again), and the whole plot begins on his release day. This point forward, the entire screenplay goes downhill: nonsense situations that have no humor and a very poor direction that confuses stage acting with movie acting. In few words, this movie turned to by a total disrespect to the original idea of the TV show.

I understand this is supposed to be a funny movie with arbitrary and crazy situations, but the length that the story goes to try to make a problem or a situation so the characters will have something to do is an insult to anybody who's watching.

Other than that the performances are very forced and painfully unfunny.

Wouldn't recommend.

After a few years which an special of 4 (amazing) new episodes was comes out, the expectative about give this characters on a full movie was high, because the idea was interesting, but after watch this, I can see that the show don't work in another platform, unless on TV, because de episodes are quick, this way don't need to care a lot about the story, but on the movie, they need to hold the viewer's attention, and here the story is so uninteresting, the jokes are boring, that the only thing that motivated me to reach the end was the old characters, that is, only the fans will enjoy and not so much at all.
