Rahul Subramanian: Kal Main Udega

Hadn't seen much of Rahul's stand up but boy oh boy, completely blew me plus that ending

Painfully Funny meaning it hurt while laughing so much, just in case I have to explain that.

I was laughing all the way through that I realized there was half an hour more. I had to pause it and massage my cheeks before I could laugh again (maybe it's not that funny but I found it so. On a very different note, am a South Indian).

As it begins you know that this stand up is not one continuous story or thought. It's random jokes thrown at you and they are successful. There are times when he uses no dialogues and his actions itself are super funny.

The title doesn't make THAT great an impression to the content though he uses that phrase twice as he ends it aptly.

When I feel down, I will watch this again!

The first few minutes were kinda mediocre content. But after the 26 minutes... It was just damn good. I am really impressed with him.

Recently, I had the privilege to attend my first stand up comedy show along with my friend and by chance it had to be Kal Main Udega! I had been following Rahul since the demonetization video by AIB, and had decided to attend atleast one of his shows in Kolkata. Kal Main Udega is 1 hour 30 mins short and I swear there was never a dull moment. The audience was laughing at every punchline delivery and was eager to know what's gonna happen next! The jokes are short,crisp and realistic(Rahul's definitely a hoot when it comes to impeccable observation timing!) and utmost relatable. One liners are laced with a tinge of dark humour and satire and will definitely keep your funny bones tickling! What surprised me the most was the ending, The ending is the cherry on the cake. Strongly recommend this 1 hour 30 mins of whacky,fun,rib tickling ride and please don't expect any kind of social message from this as comedy is the message from this whole special! ;) Happy Bingeing!

I have seen his standup bits on youtube and his acting skills in some of the AIB videos, but this stand-up special is just effortless, "what an observer?", that was my thought throughout the special, the way he expressed his emotions whether it was anger or frustration, it was impeccable. I love how he connects everything and make his whole performance into one umbrella. the flawlessness through out his show was amazing. some of the things were relatable and some were purely unexpected. looking forward to another stand-up!!
