Is raining cats, dogs and snakes outside. An elderly couple breaks into an impromptu dance in their kitchen. This sequence is intercut with a dance performed by the same couple at a much earlier phase in their life. There is an adorable moment when the elderly lady can't quite hold a pose. But she tries gamely. She is in a state of bliss amidst the seemingly huge imperfection that has marked the couple's present state - the husband, a retired army officer, is suffering from Alzheimer's. It tells a story about the unconditional love of Radha towards Vasu who is an Alzheimer patient .Lakshmi Ramakrishnan brilliantly use properties to narrate instances connecting past and present. For example,Radha's flower makes Vasu travel to his past. Mostly,Vasu lives in a dreamy world with his past and not even knowing what he should do and what he shouldnot. Fate turns from Vasu teaching a naive Radha to Caring Radha teaching her arrogant Husband. The.most important fact here is that Radha receives all humiliation and responds minimally to it. Slowly rain establishes dominance (through news,water level increase, power cut, creatures entering the house) and ends with a predictable note.

Kishore performs superbly as Vasu. Young Kishore's character sort of break all stereotypes in Brahmin culture and he was also fine. Lovelyn as his partner too fit the bill. Sreeranjini as the caring wife puts up a marvelous performance especially towards the end where she need to build the panic mode and makes the tense factor high.

Special mention to Art direction for beautiful house,Tapas Nayak's sound and Ghibran's awesome bgm (sweet and riveting whenever required). It's good to see Brahmin wedding rituals completely.

Negatives: Few characters and their dubbing sound don't match enough. Maybe most of the film is inside the House,it may feel a bit lagging for a few people.

Hats off to Lakshmi Ramakrishnan & team to produce a love story with a disaster build up story and your brilliant efforts without compromising any where.

What is still imprinted in his mind is the image of the much younger girl that he fell head-over-heels in love, even if the marriage itself was arranged. In a fit of disgust, he throws a tantrum and some flour on the wife for good measure. The wife loses her temper but only for a split-second. She knows that it is not the husband's fault. Amidst the heartbreaking moment, she focuses on a practical detail - she has to change. Life has to move on. It is this kind of detailing that sets Lakshmy Ramakrishan's "House Owner" apart. The nuance not only brings the drama to life but also right next to us.

Having experienced Chennai 2015 floods in person, minute after minute I was expecting that gush of floods inside the House owner's house. That was the thrill insticated in me. Last 30 min I was just at the edge of my seat. Kishore and Shreeranjani both lived their characters. Their past and present were beautifully connected with romance. A big revelation for someone who is handling an Alzheimer patient at home. A must watch epic esp in theatre. Mrs.Lakshmi Ramakrishnan , waiting for your next movie💖👍
