I enjoyed this series

I wish reviews were written about the movie or series rather than critiquing an actors personal appearance and if they have had work done.

Excellent show!

Very good plot, end of each episode leaves you hanging and wanting more. Kate Beckinsale does an outstanding job with her role. I don't get the bad reviews, probably Kate haters. Watch! You won't be sorry!

Intriguing

Just came out today. Watched episode one. Intriguing, good story, good characters, good acting. Finished the series now. Very good, and I enjoyed it. Not the greatest thriller or the most heart-wrenching thing I've ever seen, but good stuff.

Slow Start

The direction of this first episode seemed to follow the format of several other shows whereas the time period jumps back and forth between years to give the story credibility. This gets tiring and at times seems to slow the story down. Nothing of consequence happened in this episode that you couldn't get from the trailer. Here's to hoping for a better second episode and that things pickup.

Hooked from the First Episode

Nicely paced. Tight acting. Although it can be difficult to follow a story that bounces back & forth between past and present, I haven't had too much difficulty. Am hooked on the story and looking forward to seeing how it all pans out.

The guy who attacks Emmanuel's car is shouting "Salop" which is French slang for "bâtard" or in English "bastard".

Gaffes
A major error is the fact that the DRC is a country where vehicles drive on the right and steering wheels are on the left, like all of continental Europe. The fact that DRC vehicles are portrayed as being right- hand drive is a major distraction. Can you imagine having a scene supposedly in Paris or Berlin but all the cars are right-hand drive? This plays on basic western ignorance of Africa.
