Avis à la une
People are being very weird in the reviews. It's a cute movie, the songs are from the musical you weirdos!
I think the signing is cute and I enjoyed the movie. Is it a masterpiece? No. Is it cute? Sure!
I think Cozy is cute as a main character and does a good job. I think the acting is as you'd expect from a Disney movie. The actors look the age they're playing, which is a nice change of pace.
Overall y'all should just stop being so jaded and enjoy a cute little movie from Disney.
It's as good as Radio Rebel. I think that's actually a good comparison. This at the same level of acting and story as Radio Rebel. I don't see anyone arguing that's a masterpiece either, but it is fun!

This is just awful, just awful! It doesn't even deserve a star. The 2003 version was the best! The acting was terrible, even the mom and daughter fighting scenes were boring. I almost fell asleep while watching. A magic hour glass really? That's just stupid! It's pretty sad when you don't recognize any of the actors. The songs made it worse. There's too much "trying to keep up with the times." They really should have stopped with the 2003 version. Sounds like Disney is running out of ideas. Leave Freaky Friday alone!!! Don't waist your time with this snooze fest.
'Freaky Friday' is awful in every way, a complete embarrassment to its namesake. The daughter character has no redeeming characteristics -- she is lazy, dirty, socially handicapped, and is completely devoid of empathy. She treats everyone around her like they are sub-human. They took the teenager trope way too far and created a character the audience could never root for, and it is not believable that the other characters like her.
The mother character also makes no sense. No adult would have such a flawed memory as to go into high school so naive, starry eyed, and earnest. She also seemed to lose her ability to take social cues when she switched bodies. I'm not sure if the writers themselves have ever been to high school. I also do not understand why the writers thought it was a good idea to give her a crush on a 14 year old boy.
The songs are exclusively terrible and so long it becomes awkward, honestly not sure why it was a made a musical. There's no reason to say anything more than that, the musical segments have to be seen to for one to really understand how abhorrent they are.
So, why did I give this movie a 2 instead of a 1? All the problems I listed above combine for a special kind of awful. This movie is hilarious, from the bad lip syncing and singing down to the irrational and suspension of disbelief shattering level of unrealistic behavior the characters exhibit. At around a 70 minute runtime it is the perfect movie to watch when you're bored and looking for a laugh.

I tried giving it a chance. I didn't want to be THAT person who's always complaining about old ones always being the better ones, because we all need remakes every once in a while to keep the culture going. But not like this. I have one word for the movie, TRASH. Horrible horrible horrible. If I could get a refund from my Cable provider for those 2 hours I could.
The singing was painful at best. It didnt belong in the movie and the lyrics were awful as well. Almost turned it off it was so bad.
