Saw X is not likely to beat the record for the most kills in the franchise, currently held by Saw 3D. The upcoming sequel will focus on John Kramer's perspective and his journey to Mexico for a cure, setting it apart from other Saw films. While Saw X may prioritize quality over quantity in its kills, it still has the potential to surprise viewers.
Saw X will attempt to revive the horror franchise yet again after 2017's Jigsaw and 2021's Spiral, but there's no way the upcoming sequel can beat a 13-year-old record held by Saw 3D (also dubbed Saw: The Final Chapter). The Saw franchise was a hit when it debuted in 2004, intriguing audiences with its increasingly gruesome traps and mind-blowing twists. Like many long-running horror franchises, it lost its appeal after a while, generating less and less hype for new additions to its lineup. Even so, Saw remains a billion-dollar franchise.

Horror thriller A Brilliant Monster, which premiered last June at the Dances with Films festival in La, has been acquired by Gravitas Ventures.
The film is slated for limited theatrical and on-demand release in May 2019.
The fifth feature by director F.C. Rabbath is based on his 2015 short Dead Meat. It stars Dennis Friebe, Joy Kigin, Nick Leali, Dina Najjar, Aléa Figueroa and David Raizor. Friebe plays a successful author of inspirational and self-help stories who hides the dark secret that his creative ideas are supplied by a hidden monster that must be kept fed with human flesh. Rabbath, Friebe, Ramsey White, Jessica Roszko and Joshua Ayres are producers. Buzz was positive coming out of Dances with Films, with genre critics saluting the film’s ambitious narrative. A review in Film Threat said Rabbath blends elements of Misery, Little Shop of Horrors and The Neon Demon and praises Friebe, who “carries...
