The POV shot of Neil Armstrong looking at the Earth from the surface of the moon is not actually a photo from the surface of the moon. It is actually a photo taken from lunar orbit. The usage of this image was a creative decision, as was having the Earth low in the horizon. In reality, the Earth would be very high in the lunar sky during the Apollo 11 moon landing.
