Avis à la une
At last the third generation of Deol's came on screen. I would like to give special mention to the director of photography and director's (Sunny Deol's) determination to shoot some of the most beautiful, tough and scenic places of Manali which we used to see in foreign locations. First half is really a visual treat to the audience and in second half when film shifts from Manali to Delhi and pick up the pace. Music is original and ear pleasing unlike today's remix and rap routine noise. Coming to the performances both Karan Deol and Sahher Bambba tried their best as a newcomers Karan as shy, introvert and soft spoken hiker and guide seems cute adorable, vulnerable and innocent he performed some of the most difficult stunts of rock climbing with utmost sincerity and dedications and he excels in action sequences but he has to work really very hard on his expressions and voice modulation if he has to compete with their peers like Aayushmaan, Vickey Kaushal etc. Sahher on the other hand seems quite natural confident and innocent she has shown wide range of emotions which is really praiseworthy for debutante she has such a good screen presence that no body will be surprised that she will get some good projects in near future both look good and cute together. But story is the big letdown of this movie I don't know why did a seasoned Actor/Director like Sunny Sir chose a weak, routine story like this for the debut film for his own son he tried really very hard to give a fresh contemporary feel to the movie his hard work and vision shows in the first half of the movie he captured some of most beautiful locations which was a very difficult task but the weak story and screenplay didn't give any chance to lift the momentum of the movie in any place on the whole this is a one time watch movie which you can see with your family.
#FinalVerdict
Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas is a SNOOZEFEST without any story or so. Neither Sunny Deol's direction nor Jasvinder Singh Bath-Ravi Shankar's screenplay/dialogues have the potential to offer anything new.
Set in and around Manali majorly, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas is targeted at the youth but every single teenager who would watch it will be insulting their own intelligence. It will be taught in film schools, every year, on the topic - How To Make a Really Bad Film! Though the songs are the sole saving grace (Sachet Tandon-Parampara Thakur, Tanishk Bagchi & Rishi Rich), the plot line is incapacitated, imbecile & extremely dumb. Director Sunny Deol plays in to every stereotype about the youth under the sun but failed miserably! Yes, the cinematography (Himman Dhamija-Ragul Dharuman) is top-notch, which gives the feel of a lavish Bollywood affair. The DOPs swathe the viewers by capturing the lush locales of Himachal Pradesh with finesse. Marvellous! Devendra Murdeshwar's editing is an utter doom, with the movie clocking in at 152 minutes. The pace dips & goes up hand in hand. I have a tendency to repress traumatic memories. The direction is even more puerile, with the storyline going haywire.
Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas has nil novel/fetching/affectionate (for a love story to be) factor. One wonders for a prudent actor a la Sunny Deol to have come up with such odious plot, that too for the launch of his son. The background score is a sore to the ear. Be it the debutant Karan Deol, who isn't ready yet to deliver or the debutante Sahher Bambba, who though is photogenic & in high spirits, should have performed as side actors first, then they would have been working as main leads. Aakash Ahuja is alright. One wonders, what made such actors of calibre sign this movie as Sachin Khedekar and Simone Singh. Kamini Khanna, Nupur Nagpal, Kallirroi Tziafeta, Vijayant Kohli, Meghna Malik, Reuben Israe & Mannu Sandhu are all wasted. The makers have taken them for granted.
To sum up, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas is a pejorative damp squib from such a putative production house (Zee Studios & Sunny Super Sound). An out and out/staunch let-down in terms of acting, direction, plot line, dialogues and editing. Stay clear, period!

This film has no reason for existing. The story is boring and has been done a million times before in this exact iteration (lonely guy meets his manic pixie dream girl. They separate, realize they're in love, and conflict appears as a mean family member or in this case an ex).
The two leads are utterly awful. The film has been entirely designed to "launch" the next gen Deol who neither has looks, charm, talent, or acting prowess. His entire look is somehow dated and cheesy. His dialogue delivery is embarrassing. You wonder how his father directed him and either did not realized or hoped no one works notice. The female lead is actually a little better but has limited scope.
The music is weak, the title track is decent though. The locales are beautiful and possibly the only redeeming quality of the film. Direction is poor- the pacing is slow, the storyline doesn't move, the acting is lack luster.
By skipping this film, you're voting with your dollars to stop these terrible films from being made simply to introduce someone's child who is devoid of talent.

This movie was a mistake and karan deol should consider another career rather then acting for God shake, what a horrible actor he's.
What an Epic movie from a legendary actor Karan Deol.
Best debut performance ever.
Definitely better than the greats like De Niro,Al Pacino , Hanks.
Took method acting to next level, move aside Day-Lewis and Bale.
Movie has a gripping story and keeps you engaged.
Better than Godfather.
Simply Masterclass.
