One of the most unexpected crossovers with the Transformers franchise was a planned animation project featuring the Chinese legend of Nezha. Long believed to have been an abandoned project, the cartoon is finally set to be showcased at a current film event.

Via TFW2005, My Nezha and Transformers is one of the projects being shown at the 2025 China International Cartoon & Animation Festival. This comes nearly six years after it was initially announced, reminding fans that it's even a thing to begin with. While only a new poster has been revealed so far, this matches up with the show's pending release date.

Like its titular robotic characters, Hasbro's Transformers has taken many different forms. This has included live-action movies and variants featuring mechanical beasts, with each generation having their respective incarnation of the series. China almost gave rise to one of the weirdest of these permutations, though it never actually came to be.

Nezha: Transformers was a bizarre, unorthodox mix of a late 2010s Transformers cartoon and a Chinese series based on native mythology. This included the series' characters becoming robots in disguise themselves. For as interesting of a change as this might have been, the show still has yet to come out. Given the current state of the property, this might be a good thing.
