Impressive R. Sarathkumar's directorial debut

Besides acting, R. Sarathkumar also directed the film. Though it seemed nothing special as a movie, I enjoyed it as a full-fledged commercial movie. Sarathkumar seemed promising as a director. The fighting scenes and romantic scenes were cool. I loved the onscreen romance between Sarathkumar and Nayanthara, especially in the Deen Thena song. It was too hot and became my favourite. Another song titled Birthday also proved Sarathkumar's energy and dancing skills. Thalaimagan deserves special recognition for its songs. This is a crime thriller action genre movie with a touch of comedy. I still miss this type of spontaneous, simple and organic comedy in mainstream films. R. Sarathkumar and Nayanthara were fabulous in the lead roles. The other cast members were also good. The cinematography, BGM, and editing were fantastic. A total package for a commercial film.
