As Sun Li is my favourite actress I am always going to be biased in my reviews. I gave this drama 8 stars as even though it was very well acted the plot often becomes formulaic. I do admire chinese dramas in the fact that they will kill main characters which reflects real life (good people die daily) As in everything she appears in Sun Li captures the actions and movements of the person she is portraying and their development.

If you want to read a story about a character who sticks to her guns despite everything in her life pushing for the opposite, then this is the story for you. Your heart will break a few times watching this though, so be prepared. It was brilliantly written, brilliantly acted and the perfect drama to get you started if you're new.

This is a great series to watch. My spouse & I enjoyed it, somewhat tentatively because of the 18 rating given. I suspect that some of the more moral films get that rating to put folk off watching... There wasn't even a single F-word, though the Ms word came up occasionally in the English text - usually it was Miss. It is one of these multilayered Asian films, where just when the bucket is fixed, it springs a hole, the fixing of which makes it a better bucket. The main heroine has real sadness, but by resilience, integrity, and cleverness and pluck, is a blessing to many. She can go off the handle, but her default setting is fairness and caringness.

I am a Mexica from Tenochtitlan. I have unwittingly watched, like many at home, forced by our mothers to see countless shoddy dramas one after another; And although I sincerely hate them, I have learned something from watching the work of the scriptwriters, actors, costume and set designers, in short, the entire film crew.

The day this story is broadcast in Mexico (if ever happen), it will be a real hit, a tremendous blow, because the story is simple and has the ingredients that the Mexican audience appreciates so much.

A girl who comes out of the lowest level, without formal education, a wild and indomitable little girl that has every reason to be against people, whom she must cheat all the time to eat, and whose only reason to change is found in love in the person most opposed to her there can be; without forcing her or making her, only under the powerful weight of love from which she cannot escape once she has met him.

The story is full of pressing, risky situations, malevolent intrigues, extreme bulling and I think the story takes the girl and other characters to the limit and from it she comes out triumphant and smiling, always. It's the best cheesy overflowing honey story I've ever seen. In the end I know that those who see it will cry disgustingly secretly some and openly all the others.

Sun Li's dramas have never disappointed me. Her acting is top-notch and her choice of dramas is also very high quality. The drama is no exception. Chen Xiao is also one of my favorite actors and did an excellent job in playing the role of Shen Xing Yi.

The lead characters were wonderfully written and realistic. E.g. Zhou Ying is a tough woman with sharp business acumen, but also harbored all the weaknesses of any average person. The love story between Zhou Ying and Xing Yi is very touching.

Last but not least, the supporting actors and actresses in this drama are also very good acting. I've enjoyed watching it a lot!
