I watched this series, and it was going along really well, but then it just ended. Episode 5, boom, so many strings left untied. I think for a so-called true story, this man deserved a better ending. It was almost like they ran out of money, which was a real letdown. Also, it focused far too much on sleaze and not enough on the legal mind; shame could have been great, but it was a waste of money making this and a waste of 5 hours I won't get back.
I also understand the family is not happy with this and i can understand that. He was a great legal mind and a clever man, no need to drag his personal life through the mud, i would not bother watching this especially if you want a good ending or at least a closed ending.

After 40 minutes of fragmented episodic clips and no story to speak of, I ditched this.
I also found the central character arrogant and irritating.
New Zealand dramas generally do not travel well and this was no exception.

Main character well defined, good script, different, enjoyable.
