Suryavamsam

The movie speaks for itself, it's a drama that makes you happy whenever you watch it. 90s kids favorite I would say. This film has everything in it, superb performances ( sharathkumar, radhika, anandraj, manivannan , etc...) Comedy, action, family drama, motivation, sentiment. It is a movie which you wanna watch with your whole family and everyone will love it. Kudos to vikraman sir(the director) who gave us many wonderful movies and for creating this master piece.

Suryavamsam is another dual-role film from the Supreme Star. As a fan of Sarathkumar I am always up for this kind of movie. This film was both a commercial and critical success. Suryavamsam is a village-centric movie that deals with familial bond, love life and politics. Sarathkumar always suits in this kinds of characters as he has a common man personality and look. From his dialogue delivery to expression, he proves that this film was made for and meant for him. He did well in the fight scenes as well. The cinematography, editing, BGM, and color grading are top-notch. Recently, Sarath revealed that a sequel of Suryavamsam is in the pipeline. I hope Suryavamsam 2 will come to light and meet Sarathkumar fans' anticipation.

Suryavansam is the kind of movie that I want to rewatch more and more. Rewatching movies is a common habit among movie lovers. But rewatching requires some criteria behind rewatching a certain movie. Suryavamsam offers a lot to rewatch. To begin with, the acting was over the top. Sarathkumar nailed it. I read somewhere that the role was initially offered to Mammootty, who for real acted in more than 400 movies in the lead role did not accept the offer. I assume if Mammootty took the chance, this film would have been different. But Suryavamsam would not be like this. Sarathkumar gave his all in this film. His masculine appearance made the character so real. The screenplay and dialogue were mindblowing. It was rare at that time to get a movie of this kind. I recommend this movie to everyone.
