The trailer for Chad Powers sees former Oregon Ducks quarterback Russ Holliday's (Powell) professional career in ruins when his showboating costs his team a pivotal win. Russ' father, Mike (Toby Huss), encourages his son to move on with his life and forget about his Super Bowl dreams in the wake of a social media backlash. "There's just one problem, dad. I'm not done with football," Russ says in the clip, shared by the series' official X account.

A fresh chapter in The Boys universe is on the way, and this one rewinds the clock. Prime Video has confirmed that the prequel series, Vought Rising, begins filming this month.

Announced at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con, the series brings back Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy and Aya Cash as Stormfront. Set in the 1950s, the story will explore Vought’s dark origins, following a twisted murder mystery woven together with Soldier Boy’s early exploits and Stormfront’s dangerous ambitions.

A new chapter in The Boys universe is about to begin, and it’s going back in time. Prime Video has confirmed that the upcoming prequel series, Vought Rising, starts filming this month.

First announced during the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con, the show will bring back Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy and Aya Cash as Stormfront. This time, the story takes place in the 1950s and will dig into the dark beginnings of Vought. At the center of it all is a twisted murder mystery, mixed with Soldier Boy’s earliest adventures and Stormfront’s ruthless schemes.

Brainstorm Media has acquired North American rights to “After All” a generational drama set in Austin, Texas, starring Penelope Ann Miller (“Carlito’s Way”) and Erika Christensen (“Will Trent”).

The indie movie directed by Kerstin Karlhuber (“Fair Haven”) and executive-produced by Christensen depicts the journey of a woman named Ellen (played by Christensen) who returns home to care for her ailing mother (played by Penelope Ann Miller) and estranged teenage daughter.

Zach Gilford (“The Purge: Anarchy”); David James Elliott (“Heels”); Mike O’Malley (“Snowpiercer”); Sierra McCormick (“American Horror Story”) and newcomer Kiara Muhammad also star.

Following NBC's shocking cancellation of Suits LA last week after just one season, the network has decided the fate of two of its more popular new shows. Both The Hunting Party and Brilliant Minds will return for Season 2 in the fall, so fans of the crime drama and the medical procedural have nothing to worry about – at least for now.

Variety reported on the renewals this morning as NBC announced its fall 2025 schedule during its upfront presentation in New York. Debuting back in January, The Hunting Party's premiere episode garnered 3.67 million viewers, with the 10-episode first season averaging an overall total of 4.26 million. Meanwhile, Brilliant Minds hit the airwaves in September 2024 to 3.92 million viewers, with its 13-episode first season averaging a total of 4.3 million. By contrast, Suits LA's first episode was watched by just 2.61 million viewers, with its low point being episode 10, "Slugfest," which was seen by only 0.97 million people.

Stephen Amell has gone from being a TV guest star to the lead of three massive TV shows. While he got his big breakthrough in the CW’s Arrow, he currently plays the lead in NBC’s Suits L.A., and also headlined the canceled Starz series Heels. Per Deadline, Euphoria star Elizabeth Posey has been tapped to play one of the leading roles in Vought Rising, which is expected to begin filming later this year. This marks Posey's first major project as a series regular, after previously making brief appearances in shows like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Heels. It has also been confirmed that Blue Bloods alum Will Hochman will also be joining the ensemble cast. This will be Hochman's first TV project since the long-running CBS police drama concluded its 14-season run in December 2024.
