Avis à la une
Seasons 1-2 are brilliant and make for hilarious and joyous watching. Granted, there's a touch of cheese every now and again but it always fits the growth of the characters as we watch things develop.
I'm a few episodes into season 3 and it's a complete mess. A real mess - how did they get it so wrong? From what I've just read in other reviews, it doesn't sound like things get any better in S4.
Do yourself a favour and stop at the end of season 2. For me, if they had stopped there, this show would be a solid 9/10. However, as is often the case with these things, not knowing when to end on a high has dragged this show a smidge into the mire.

The comedy is intellegent in its own absurdist style. However, I've noticed a theme within the "1 Star" rating reviews; most, if not all, are saying that the show is "offence in this political climate", and should "cater more to today's political atmosphere by discussing some important topics". NOT ALL COMEDY HAS TO HAVE A POLITICAL AGENDA. Let's leave the politics on the news where it belongs. If you want a apolitical absurdist comedy: This show is for you. It's hard for me to see this show being a '1 star' rating by anyone. It's probably not fittingly a 10 (yet) that I gave it, but it's certainly higher than a 6, let along 1.
To me what makes this show is the casting, the students are seriously hilarious, they have an excellent back and forth with their teacher. This show has me laughing out loud every episode, the teachers are also hilarious, especially the gym teacher in the first few episodes. I like philosophy and find the main characters background and views comical, this show surprisingly keeps getting better as the characters develop more. This is in my top 5 comedy shows right now, very much recommended, definitely doesn't deserve 6.9 in my opinion which is why I gave it a 10 but honestly to me it's close to a 10, very enjoyable.
I watched the first 3 episodes, and I don't understand why this show is getting so much hate. The premise is fun, the kids in the class are a fun ensemble, the lead is awesome, and Patton Oswalt is great as always. I was audibly laughing throughout each episode, and I can't wait to see the premise explored further. I look forward to learning more about Jack's backstory.
Seasons 1 and 2 are amazing, funny, filled with witty, great writing, and good character development. Then in season 3 it falls off a cliff. Seasons 3 and 4 writing focuses on being eccentric and quirky with limited character development and a complete lack of the jokes that made the show funny to begin with. No developed jokes and the entire plot of the show seems to lose its focus. The hilarious, somewhat degenerate content that you get in seasons 1 and 2 completely vanishes. Highly recommend just cutting your losses, saving your time, and stopping after Season 2. I'm curious how they screwed it up so much with the blueprint for success laid out from the very beginning.
