Being the lifetime movie buff that i am, I had to come here and review this movie. I wanted to like it but just couldn't. The acting was so bad, almost embarrassing. So many things could have been said or done differently to make this a decent movie. This movie has potential but failed to deliver. One of the worst lifetime movies I've seen.

I'm all for Lifetime movies (saw this on Lifetime Movie Network) but this one was absolutely horrible, from acting to too many holes in the movie.
As the summary says, Rebecca and Brian move into a new house in which strange things start happening from food they didn't order being delivered to their house, to exterrminators being called because of a rat problem they say they don't have. They soon learn whose behind all of these "pranks".
Issue one.If you say you didn't order food that's being delivered to your house, you shouldn't, nor would you pay for it, yet, Brian pays $57 for four pizzas and $42 for Chinese food.
Issue two: When they call the police about what's been taking place a detective shows up. When does a detective take a report for non-emergency, non violent issues? Detectives are usually assigned important cases. Not petty stuff like food being delivered and exterminators being called.
Issue three: When the detective goes to Brian and Rebecca's house and finds the door open, why doesn't he announce he's the police or he's a detective instead of shouting "Hello! Anyone home?"
And don't get me started on the unnecessary dramatic music through out the movie. Every scene in the movie had music.
This is one of those movies where the synopsis sounds great, but the execution was horrible.
I don't recommend this movie to anyone...not even if you're bored and this the only thing on TV.

This is one of the worst Lifetime movies I've ever seen! The acting was horrible, none of the characters were likeable, and it was based on actual events!? If that's true then I hope it is very loosely! None of it was believable and just too many holes and unrealistic situations...from the guy checking out the house at night with a flashlight and determining it to be "perfect" to the wife complaining the House wasn't "ready for entertaining" yet everything was perfectly placed just days after moving in?? Also the night they were going out to dinner, the wife said they needed to go early because the daughter has school the next day, but then the next scene (same day) they are talking about the potluck being the next day (a Saturday). Poor editing obviously. Even so, I watched this whole movie, Lololololol

I'll fully admit that LMN movies are written with the mentality just shading Harlequin romance novels, but does Lifetime really believe their viewership is that dumb? Who writes a character as dumb as the wife? She sees all these weird things happening to them, hears the detective say that the weird happenings are set up with burner phones, and then she flips out like a psychotic, menstruating beast after finding underwear in the bed?
The husband should have had lines written for his character at that moment telling her that she needed to get the hell out, and that she would have nothing in the divorce settlement. Worst LMN movie ever written, and that's saying plenty. (ps. my husband says worst LMN ever (even tho we enjoy them), but this really does take the cake)

The story line was OK. It seemed to be so long-winded about nothing. Is this how it happened since it was based on true events. Too long to get to the point, why? Horrible actors/actresses. And did Rebecca really have such an insecurity? No different than the perpetrator. The two actresses were not delivering it. The actors were just OK, the supporting actors/actresses just OK. It was more aggravating than me having any understanding or sympathy.

A handsome man, with a neatly trimmed beard, lurks around a house in the darkness. He seems to be attempting to break into the house, but he is interrupted by a phone call. Inside the house, we briefly see a dark figure creeping across the screen. This opening never really fits the rest of the story, although you could rationalize it with a line or two. "Inspired by a true story," the TV movie settles into place after the credits. The handsome man with the neatly trimmed beard is Tilky Jones (as Brian Lassiter). He moves into what looks like a dream house, with his attractive wife Clare Kramer (as Rebecca) and their adorable lemonade-selling pre-teen daughter Ashlyn Jade Lopez (as Maddy). Alas, a title like "The Wrong House" shouts trouble ahead...
This is competently guided by Sam Irvin and his crew. The direction is steady, holds interest, and we accept Mr. Irvin's putting women on counter-tops as a stylistic touch. The location and a supporting cast of instantly too-friendly neighbors give it a suitably phony atmosphere. Others in the cast include fitness trainer Allison McAtee (as Kathleen Strickland) and former "Melrose Place" mainstay Thomas Calabro (as Carter)...
What ruins the supposedly "true" story is the half-time decision by a major character to separate from her husband. Given the many incidents preceding the discovery of strange underwear in her bed, her decision is inexplicable. Since the character is presented as sane and intelligent, she should never be given a second chance. "The Wrong House" never addresses this character's sudden lack of cognition.

Omg for a start the fill quality is 480P and the acting part is so stilted and awkward it's simple unbearable to watch. This film wouldn't even make it into Saturday afternoon cable.

To begin with once more we have these long hair females playing leads. When will we ever see a decent looking woman on screen with short styled hair and not this ratty hair look. And beyond that sometimes count the number of times these females are constantly pulling this unruly hair out of their faces for close ups. Ever hear of bobby pins, berets? But I digress. The film sucks with such an obvious psycho going about causing trouble wanting to get back into the house.
And so on and so forth and house owners haven't a clue and wifey is so easily swayed by any infidelities that are set ups. Not a clue and how come these big strong men cannot hold off these dames? Why not a good hard kick in their groin for a change? Why only the male members get this?
Anyway, a waste of time and ladies, please get a haircut and less with the over-the-hill makeup. False eyelashes and/or heavy mascara does not fare well with bleached blonde hair, okaY?

The acting is awful (Brian is the best at a push)
The wife should get an award for outstanding stupidity in a TV movie!
I can't even eatch the whole film.....terrible.
