Good popcorn action flick

If you enjoyed the previous 2 movies, this movie follows the same simple formula but it's a very nice 3rd movie. Don't go in expecting a deep story, some actors just scream bad guy straight away and make everything predictable, go in just to enjoy the nice combat scenes and fast paced action. Overall it's a nice film to just enjoy without thinking too much about it.

Again ignore the moan brigade

Once again I nearly didn't watch this one after reading the reviews on here.

I read that the photography was bad and the direction terrible. These experts really need to stop.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the photography or direction.

This is good action flick that won't win any awards but it's entertaining and that's whats its supposed to be.

I really wish people would stop being negative for the sake of it.

It's like trolling.

A decent action film.

This is being judged too harshly. Is it predictable? Yes. Generic? Yeah. But what do you expect? It's a nuts and bolts action film, entertaining enough and worth your time.

If You Like Olympus and London...You Will Like Angel

I like this movie it provides more of the same as its predecessors.

I did find myself comparing it to The Fugitive (and no its not as good) but perhaps unfairly as Angel is not looking for drama so much as action.

At the end of the movie I left hoping to see another addition to the series, so I guess that is a good indication of how I felt about the movie.

Next one maybe a mash up...Taken Has Fallen?

Angel Butler

Leonidas cannot fail ... I mean fall ... right? Sorry I'm mixing up my movies here. But you can see the action star Butler going for it again - a third time. And if you thought the other movies were crazy and unrealistic ... well you were right and this one adds to that! What did you think I was going to say? In all seriousness - do not take this movie serious.

Predictable story, predictable twists and turns ... and an even relatively mild Nick Nolte. But the story itself is quite out there ... really wild and really "explosive" (pun intended). A lot of action and a lot of nonsense ... and it can be quite some fun, if you allow it to

Like with La Chute de la Maison Blanche (2013) and La Chute de Londres (2016), Morgan Freeman has openly admitted in interviews that he did this movie mainly for the money. As he explained for the previous two: "Money. It's the third in a series it pays better than the first one. I get to play the president again, I'm in a successful series, I'm working with a guy I really admire and like. It's perfect." When asked whether he still felt "fire in his belly" with regard to acting, he said: "I enjoy it, I still enjoy it. I love making movies, but it's more like smouldering embers now."

Gaffes
An aide tells the Vice-President that the transfer of power back to a president has never happened in U.S. history. This is incorrect: On July 13, 1985 Ronald Reagan underwent colon cancer surgery while under anesthesia, so Vice-President George Bush discharged the powers and duties of the presidency during his incapacity, serving as acting president until later that day, when Reagan reclaimed his authority. President George W. Bush underwent a colonoscopy procedure on June 29, 2002, and again on July 21, 2007. Vice-President Dick Cheney temporarily became Acting President on both occasions, then power was transferred back to Bush. Additionally on November 19, 2021, President Biden had a colonoscopy and transferred acting president power to Vice-President Harris for 85 minutes.
