This was not good... definitely the worst Kdrama I've seen so far. The attempts at humor just did not land for me at all, and mostly made me cringe throughout.
It was one of those shows where things just happened because the writer wanted them to, with no real justification, buildup, explanation, or even an attempt at a set up. Without spoiling anything, the ending was like the writers gave up and just waved a magic wand so they could finish and go home... you'll know it when you see it. Even though nothing in the show makes much sense (definitely check your brain at the door), they didn't even bother to introduce even a convenient/contrived mystical or poetic excuse for the ending. It just happens out of nowhere... poof... story resolved.
The first half was a chore to get through. I'm used to Kdramas opening an episode with the last scene of the previous episode, but usually you get to see a new perspective, gain important context, etc... but not in this show. Expect a significant chunk of the runtime (and episodes are already pretty short) to be watching an identical scene multiple times in a row. This becomes less frequent towards the end, but it's super annoying for much of the show.
I will say that the last few episodes were decent, and they managed to be enjoyable. The lead actress is great at crying scenes for sure. Wish I didn't waste my time with it though.

This show is seriously funny, especially the first half, so... Drop in!
I had just watched Live Up To Your Name-7.6 which involves time travel to/from the Joseon period, so redundancy was a concern. Turns out, there was no need to worry, tee-hee.
There's nothing novel about entertainment features that portray time travel to a romanticized past era, anyway. Not only is the contrast between different cultures fascinating, but the fact that people are the same, no matter the circumstances, resonates.
Did I say fascinating? Not on this show. This show displays that the differences are HILARI🤣US.
What's so funny, you ask? Driving a big van through a cramped Joseon shopping district- after beheading the "monster" (the van) didn't work. Pulling out a 99cent lighter and causing panic. Teaching the Joseans "2 thumbs up👍🏽," drinking games, or slang. Fine, it's all been done before, but this show reaches into the backseat and pulls out the laughs. It's all giggles until a misplaced history book almost wipes out Korea entirely. Oh my. What should we do?
The van, Bong-Bong, is the most intelligent of the characters. Bong-Bong clearly has an agenda, and drives the plot, ahem.
Speaking of characters, we have the petulant actress, the greedy flimflam artist, the Mute Ninja who communicates with his mind, the escaped princess, the villain (a narcissist in full bloom), and more.
I loved this corny little show. The episodes are all just 30 minutes, so each one is its own brief escape. Bong-Bong may take me anywhere. Let him (yes, Bong-Bong is a male, even though On-dal calls him 'my lady' throughout) anyway, let him take you through 20 fun filled episodes. You won't want to return!
You have reached your destination.

Hi,
I saw two movies of this beautiful lady, I had to skip some of the scenes, because she screams a lot, doesn't she know the difference between being angry, screaming, screaming, and being bossy?!!
Screaming is a headache for me as I watch it in the original language! That's why I removed the like from the art of female dishes! They either scream or play the role of a weak and crude woman where the woman is strong!! The definition of a good woman in Korean movies is incomprehensible! Just as a bad woman is incomprehensible and incomplete.
I like Korean films but unnecessary tv series are toooooooo long and one of reason why, they get bad reviews!
It's breaking first rule: 1- logic because number one is most important rule of storytelling.
I know because I am also in this industry.
Thank you for your hard working effort.
With sincerely.

Not my cup of tea. I just kept watching cause I wanted to know the ending. And luckily I was pleased with it.
The love story of On Dal and Song Soo-Jung was beautiful. They shared some intense kisses, loved it. Also the love between the princess and her bodyguard was very touching. So these four characters kept me watching.
I could appreciate the time travelling story.
For a Korean series it was cheeky and bold.
But I didn't enjoy the rest of the storyline. The general and even all the other 'government characters' were just annoying. For me those characters ruined the series and especially the beautiful love story.

One seriously hilarious K-drama! Although it is a bit predictable at times & the editing can be cheesy, the acting is good & storyline is easy to follow.
Both leads have a good chemistry together & the supporting cast is believable & likeable. The villain very nearly steals the show!
I give it 9 stars out of 10, 1 star off for the rather abrupt ending & constant rewinding throughout the show.
Overall, a very easy series to binge watch which can be completed within 10 hours or less. A great, thoroughly entertaining drama series with a memorable soundtrack & theme songs.
Recommended for those who enjoy something light & fluffy.
