Avis à la une
EFC was actually much better than I expected it to be. The opening fight sequence was very artistic. The movie created a chaotic scene with classical music set in backdrop. The first act felt a bit clumsy largely because the story begins progressing very quickly but the movie seemed to find its footing by the time it hit the second act. EFC is about a struggling women's MMA promotion with limited money trying to go mainstream and hit it big. The story mimics UFC in the 90's when the company was a rag tag fight promotion but eventually went mainstream. EFC delivers some very real and very authentic looking fight scenes. Since the actual fights and their outcome are weaved into the storyline it was hard to predict who would win in any fight sequence. At first glance this movie looks as if it's going to be your typical fight movie with a tale of redemption but the story takes a twist, it actually ends up being much more than that and the characters end up fighting for the future of the sport of women's MMA. The real fight was for something bigger than any character. The performance of the actors and the direction was solid. In the second act John David has to deliver some bad news to Frank the movie villain in a strip club. Oh yes they went there in this women's mma movie but the performance in the scene made the hairs on my skin stand up but overall , EFC is definitely a surprise entry into the sport drama movie arena.
EFC is a sports drama that dives into the intense world of mixed martial arts. The film follows reigning MMA champion Cassady Jones as she prepares to face her greatest challenge yet, a title fight against the ambitious and skilled Alexa Star.
The movie has a good balance between the raw pumping action of MMA fights and the complex emotional journey of its female leads. Karlee Rose delivers a powerful performance as Cassidy Jones, effortlessly embodying the grit and determination of her character while also revealing her vulnerable side as she confronts the pressures of maintaining her hard-earned title.
Although the film occasionally falls into predictable sports movie cliches, EFC remains an engaging and emotional drama that showcases the strength and resilience of its female characters. Fans of mixed martial arts and strong, complex leads will find much to appreciate in this powerful and entertaining film.

I was thoroughly impressed with "EFC." This movie takes us into the world of women's mixed martial arts, at first the focus is on the rivalry between reigning MMA champion Cassidy Jones and ambitious contender Alexa Star but the movie takes a completely different turn and becomes something else and that's was a great thing.
I was skeptical about another movie being promoted as a MMA movie. Any MMA fan has been down this road before but the fight scenes in this movie kept me on the edge of my seat and are really some of the best stuff put together for a movie and while there's a lot of fight action in this movie, I was completely invested into Cassidy's journey and the demon she was battling in her head.
By the end EFC explored a lot of relevant themes faced by women in professional sports, adding depth to the story but while the plot does become predictable at times, The real fight in this movie will surprise you at the end and I thought it was a fitting way to end the movie. I found "EFC" to be an inspiring and very emotional drama that any fans MMA and strong female characters would enjoy.

I had mixed feelings about "EFC. The movie is a well-intentioned sports drama that attempts to shed light on the world of women's mixed martial arts. The film follows reigning MMA champion Cassidy Jones.
The movie is a visually engaging and it explores the emotional and physical struggles experienced by its female leads as they navigate the male-dominated world of professional MMA. Karlee Rose offers up a strong performance as Cassidy Jones, capturing the grit and determination of her character as she faces strong resistance from her sister Scarlet. The rest of the ensemble cast matches her intensity in the movie.
While the film's fight scenes are expertly choreographed and provide a glimpse into the high-stakes world of MMA, "EFC" falls short in its exploration of the characters' complexities. The narrative often feels shallow and predictable, failing to delve into the depths of the protagonists' personal struggles and motivations.
Despite its shortcomings, "EFC" remains a visually engaging and well-acted sports drama that highlights the unique challenges faced by women in professional sports. Fans of mixed martial arts and strong female leads may find aspects of the film to appreciate, but its predictable storyline and lack of character depth prevent it from reaching its full potential.

If you're looking for something different, EFC is worth checking out. This movie isn't your usual straightforward story-it's more like a visual journey that pulls you into another world. The director, Jaze Bordeaux, has created a mysterious and almost dreamlike atmosphere that feels surreal but totally captivating.
The plot doesn't spell everything out, which I actually enjoyed because it made me think. It's the kind of movie that leaves things open for interpretation, so don't expect to have every question answered. The cinematography is stunning, with beautiful shots and a moody vibe that kept me hooked. You can tell a lot of thought went into each scene, and that alone makes it memorable.
The cast did a great job, too. The actors bring a lot of emotion to their roles. It's clear they're all-in on creating this unique experience, and it really comes through on screen.
EFC can only receive a 10/10 from me because of the amazing fight scenes. As an indie movie EFC has set a new standard that is now set quite high for fight choreography in movies.
EFC won't be everyone's cup of tea, but if you're into movies that are more gritty and visual then it's definitely worth a watch. It's one of those films that sticks with you and leaves you thinking afterward. Give it a shot if you're in the mood for something artsy and thought-provoking!
