Positives: Ezra is something of a horror movie which you can either expect from Hollywood or Malayalam Cinema. This film has beautiful scenes, this film tries to connect with youth, which I think lands well.
Being honest the way the story is narrated is something you would love, screenplay is also cherry on the cake, Acting is extremely good, everyone did justice to their roles.
Film has a twist which you won't even guess anywhere in the film.
Some may realize the twist but majority would not.
Drawbacks: 1. It has that typical horror film setback, a mysterious house, a new place, a new couple, gets into problems.
2. At times you may feel the film is getting boring if you haven't seen these types of films earlier.
3. Malayalam Cinema again tries to get into political, Religious problems yet sugarcoated propaganda is present but is ok at this time.
It does not disses other religions. But Malayalam cinema has dived into this side of Cinema where entertainment is combined with forceful Religious controversies.
Conclusion: Overall, better than most Indian Horror Films You can watch it 2 to 3 times.
Thanks for Reading.

Greate experience.
Really a new concept of horror movie.
The essential element for every good horror movie is a grippy story line, which Ezra has.
Prithviraj is really a versatile actor. He has performed up to his potential.
Melodious music is also a plus point for the movie.
That's the reason why Bollywood is already heading to remake the movie, as they always do, instead of making a really good movie.
Overall a must watch for lovers of good horror movie.

Ezra is a much different horror movie. Yes it is true that it has taken some of the concepts from Hollywood movies. But in Indian Cinema it has totally driven the horror genre to new directions.
It was very dark themed and the background score was totally suiting to the Ghosts scenes and also in the rest of the movie.
Prithviraj Sukuraman , Priya Anand and other supporting actors has done a fine justice to there roles.
What makes it different is the showing of "Jewish rituals and there history " and it has brought a totally different taste in Malayalam as well as Indian Cinema.
It is a must watch and I recommend others to watch it.

Ezra was a different experience for the malayalam movie audience. It was the first time a horror thriller created in malayalam with the background of a Jewish story. The technical side, mainly the cinematography and BGM was fantastic. The cast including Prithviraj, Tovino, Priya Anand, Babu antony done their role neatly. Overall Ezra is a watchable horror thriller.
Ezra could be termed as one of the better horror movie in the recent past in molly wood.It is a welcome addition to the list of good horror movies in India.Prithviraj Sukumaran has got a growing ability to choose movies wisely and roles that suit him very well, he is successful in it here also.Though nothing much to comment about his acting in here,it is pretty much good.Other cast members also made a good effort, i thought Tovino Thomas was not needed for that role because it was such an insignificant role which could have filled with any non-mainstream actor, also the lead lady Priya Anand was not that impressive and there was not much of a chemistry between Prithviraj Sukumaran and her which made it difficult for the audiences to sympathize with them in some scenes. There were some clichéd scenes also in this movie which could have easily avoided by the scriptwriter to make it more engaging.
+ves ♦ Story ,thrilling scenes ♦ Movie managed to scare and induce tension in audiences ♦ Pretty fast paced screenplay ♦ Camera work ♦ good special effects for an Indian movie
-ves ♦ First half was lagging and some scenes were not that impressive ♦ Climax was pretty ordinary and a bit rushed ♦ Some editing work needed and 2 unnecessary songs could have avoided
Verdict:3/5, Pretty good horror movie which is very rare these days.

- GaffesThe flashback scene is shown to take place in Thiru-kochi in 1941. Thiru-Kochi was formed in 1949 by the merger of the princely kingdoms of Travancore and Cochin, and would eventually merge with Malabar to form Kerala in 1956. In 1941, it would have been simply Kochi (Cochin).
