Avis à la une
A group of arrogant kids decide to visit an abandoned camp with a dark past. What could go wrong, right? Everything, it seems. One by one they uncover little secrets, as if they even needed these clues to warn them about what may have been about to happen. This was a fun movie, and anyone who likes these kinds of stories will not be disappointed. The movie had just the right blend of elements you would associate with a movie of this type - witchcraft, a conjuring, a desolate countryside and characters straight out of our worst nightmares. This movie had everything one would want to see in a creepy film.
Great Indie Movie it great job by all. Well written storyline by Lisa would recommend this movie to those who enjoy watching
Watched it over the weekend and enjoyed it. Was a nice choice of a movie to watch on my day off lol Good actors in the movie quite believable that young high school kids would want to venture off and do something wild and crazy like this and the flashbacks to the start of the film with the original characters having flashbacks all the way through the film was very interesting it definitely added more depth to the story and the fact that there was romance added with a different characters and even some rivalry between them was great.

Made in the challenging conditions of the Covid pandemic, "Death Camp" is a low budget horror film revolving around demonic possession. The young actors are talented, the scenes with the villain (Norman) are good. (The atmosphere in the dark room is very well done, grim and creepy, more than the various characters death scenes which is certainly due to the fact that what we don't show but suggest through tense dialogue is more frightening. )The difficult conditions of the shooting which had to be stopped then resumed are undoubtedly the cause of the flaws in the film. It's important that people know that producing and directing an independent film often is an uphill battle and we must recognize the efforts put into the feature film by the director, the screenwriter and the actors all united to finish the project. A team effort that deserves respect.
A fun movie, which provided a great mix of old school 80's slasher horror and comedy, and a spice of nudity which gave it that 1980's Camp Crystal Lake feel. And best part was that it was written by screen writter Lisa Brennan. The stunts and kills were your basic 80's slasher kills. The acting just needed a little more improving in the part were they should be terrified. But Storyline was Well written. Definitely enjoyed and recommend this to any fan of the 80's genre who don't mind low bugte or cheasy Indie films. Also the movie reminded me of that spooky facebook lollipop link where it looked like the creey old guy was hacking your facebook account, then at the end he has a picture of you and drives to your house to kill you. The creepy old dude look like the guy in the Death Camp movie.
I've never laughed harder during the proverbial "uh oh, y'all are done for" moment when the group of kids get stranded or trapped in a slasher flick.
"Hey dude, isn't that your car driving off?". Brilliant.
The blood and guts are great per usual, but I've always latched onto the quirky out-of-left-field moments in horror films a la; the ice cream and chicken farmer scenes in The Devil's Rejects. Death camp is full of those with loads of personality and manages to reinterpret a lot of the formulaic slasher moments in funny, bizarre, unpredictable, but first & foremost entertaining ways.
Where a lot of horror movies fall flat for trying too hard to be shocking and edgy, this one succeeds in simply aspiring to entertain.
Looking forward to more hits from this creative team and screenwriter Lisa Marie Brennan.
