Exclusive: Halle Stanford, The Jim Henson Company’s longtime President of Television, is relaunching her company, 7 Crow Stories, as she embarks on a new chapter in her career as an independent producer and writer. As part of this new venture, the Emmy winner has signed a first-look producing deal with The Jim Henson Company, where she has worked as a producer and executive for the past 30 years.

Under her 7 Crow Stories banner, Stanford will develop a variety of live-action and animated projects for The Jim Henson Company for preschool, family, and primetime audiences, continuing to prioritize entertaining, impactful, and imaginative content across a wide range of genres. Previously announced projects include the primetime fantasy series Goblins with Norman Reedus, the primetime animated series Lore Olympus, based on Webtoon’s digital comic series, and the older kids’ animated series Adrenaline Lemmings. Currently, Stanford is also attached to develop a future production of Fraggle Rock.

Bridgerton star Julie Andrews has discussed whether she will ever appear on camera in the romance series, which premiered on Netflix in 2020. The Regency-era romance, which is based on the novel series of the same name by Julia Quinn, follows a new couple each season, centering on the romantic travails of the siblings of the Bridgerton family. Andrews voices Lady Whistledown, a gossip columnist who serves as a narrator for the series, but in-universe it has been revealed that the columns are actually being written by Penelope Featherington (Nicolas Coughlan).

Andrews recently spoke with Et while on the red carpet for Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love. When asked about the future of Lady Whistledown, she confirmed that she will continue voicing the character in Bridgerton season 3. However, she confirmed that she has no intention of ever appearing onscreen in the series as she is "very happy" in the background.

Julie Andrews plays a small, but pivotal role in James Wan's Aquaman. Andrews recently revealed that she didn't want to take part in the upcoming Mary Poppins Returns because she didn't want to take away from Emily Blunt's portrayal of the character that she first made famous. Instead, she'll inadvertently be taking on the Mary Poppins movie at the box office since Aquaman opens a just a few days later. It's going to be a tight race when both movies hit theaters late next month.

In a new interview, Aquaman producer Peter Safran revealed that Julie Andrews has a part in the movie. Andrews portrays Karathen, who is a mythical sea creature. Karathen helps Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry on his journey, and Safran says that Andrews was the perfect person for the job. He explains.

While Dick Van Dyke announced he will be returning for the sequel, Andrews tells Et's Leanne Aguilera that she doesn't think she'll be a part of it, but she is thrilled to be able to pass the torch to the Golden Globe-winning actress.

Terry Pratchett’s “The Wee Free Men” is getting a film adaptation from The Jim Henson Company. The 2003 novel is amongst the 46 books of the author’s “Discworld” series — a series set on a literal disc world that rests on top of four giant elephants who stand on the shell of a giant turtle. Pratchett passed away last year.

The writer’s company Narrativia, which was created to monitor the rights of his books, will work with The Jim Henson Company in bringing the story to the big screen. Pratchett’s daughter Rhianna, who took over the company after his passing, will pen the script. She has worked as a video game writer on projects such as 2013’s “The Tomb Raider” and its 2015 follow-up “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” which won WGA’s video game writing award.
