The project, which Variety exclusively reported on in January, will star: Greg Kinnear, Aidy Bryant, Shay Rudolph, Flor Delis Alicea (“Love the Skin You’re In”), Anire Kim Amoda, Noah Cottrell, Iesha Daniels and Sophie Dieterlen in their television debuts, Alexandra Doke, and Maeve Press.

Rhino has unveiled a new David Lee Roth box set, The Warner Recordings 1985-1994, arriving on vinyl and CD on February 21st.

The 5-lp and 5-cd box sets house Roth’s solo recordings following his exit from Van Halen in 1985, beginning with the Crazy from the Heat EP and its hit song “Just a Gigolo.”

Dlr followed that up with the successful Eat ‘Em and Smile LP in 1986, featuring Roth teamed up with an all-star backing band featuring bassist Billy Sheehan, drummer Gregg Bissonette, and guitar virtuoso Steve Vai. Roth then went on to release three more LPs on Warner including 1988’s Skyscraper, 1991’s A Little Ain’t Enough, and 1994’s Your Filthy Little Mouth.

Of note for collectors, the upcoming vinyl box set will contain the first-ever repressing of Your Filthy Little Mouth, which was only released on vinyl in Germany in 1994, making it a scarce and pricey original pressing.

We recently learned that Man of Steel and The Witcher star Henry Cavill will play the lead in Amazon MGM Studios’ live-action Voltron movie, and the project has now added three new cast members.

THR reports that Sterling K. Brown, Rita Ora and John Kim are set to join the production is undisclosed roles.

Newcomer Daniel Quinn-Toye, who previously appeared in Badults and served as Tom Holland’s understudy in Romeo & Juliet on the West End this spring, is also on board.

Sterling K. Brown will star in the live-action “Voltron” film for Amazon MGM Studios.

Brown will join previously announced cast members Henry Cavill (“Man of Steel”) and Daniel Quinn-Toye, a film newcomer who has appeared on television in “Badults” and served as Tom Holland’s understudy in “Romeo & Juliet” on the West End this spring. The film will also feature Rita Ora and John Kim.

Earlier this year, Brown was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars for his role in Cord Jefferson’s “American Fiction” and appeared with Jennifer Lopez and Simu Liu in Netflix’s “Atlas.” Previous credits include Emmy-winning performances in “The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story” and “This is Us,” as well as “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “Black Panther” and “Honk For Jesus. Save Your Soul.” Brown is next set to star in Dan Fogelman’s Hulu series “Paradise” alongside James Marsden and Julianne Nicholson.

And at an opening of $34M, after a $10.9M Friday, and even a Saturday family lift of $13.2M, we can’t ignore the fact that we’ve seen better from The Rock, as far as his solo non-Fast & Furious projects go. EntTelligence says that only 2.4M people watched Red One this weekend — which ain’t much.

Just as we predicted earlier this week, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s mega-budget Christmas action-comedy, Red One, is set for one of the star’s lowest debuts. While the $30 million Deadline is predicting isn’t quite as bad as the $25 million we called earlier this week, given the movie’s $250 million price tag, this has to be seen as an embarrassing failure for The Rock. When all is said and done, he hasn’t had a legitimate box office smash since Jumanji: The Next Level back in 2019.

The last time Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx shared the screen, they were playing the villainous Miss Hannigan and tech billionaire-turned-adoptee Will Stacks in 2014's Annie remake. That movie musical also happens to be the last time Diaz shared the screen with, well, anyone, as the Charlie's Angels star went on a decade-long acting sabbatical following the movie's release (the two events are presumably unrelated.) But now Diaz and Foxx are back back back in the very shrewdly titled Back In Action, which is not as it happens a remake of *that* Looney Tunes movie (sadly), but rather a buzzy, Netflix bound spy comedy from writer-director Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) and co-scribe Brendan O'Brien (Bad Neighbours). Red One has quite the star-studded cast sliding onto Santa's sleigh this November. Like many Christmas comedies before it, Santa is a central character in Red One. This time, he's kidnapped right before his one big job of delivering presents around the world. It's up to some major action stars, Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans, to save Santa and, ultimately, Christmas.

The cast is quite a good one, with resident movie and TV mom and dad Bonnie Hunt and J.K. Simmons taking on the titular roles of Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Kiernan Shipka has a more magical role as an evil snow witch who preys on naughty children, while Lucy Liu keeps Johnson and Evan's characters in line as they race against the clock to rescue Jolly St. Nick.

Updated: New this weekend at the international box office, Warner Bros began pre-domestic release on Amazon MGM Studios’ Red One. The opening numbers on the Christmas-themed Seven Bucks production are within the range we expected heading into the frame, coming in at $26.6M from 75 offshore markets.

For Latin America, the film ranked No. 2 behind the 3rd weekend of Venom: The Last Dance, but results are above comps like Central Intelligence (+35%).

In Europe, and at today’s rates, Red One is tracking ahead of Central Intelligence (+9%) and Skyscraper (+15%).

Asia was not expected to excel; however in the region (excluding China and Japan), reviews were mostly positive, and the film ranked as the No. 1 or No. 2 U.S. title in all but two markets.

Overall, the Dwayne Johnson/Chris Evans-starrer saw strong Saturday performance across nearly all markets with family audiences propelling results; this bodes well for the weeks to come...
