Great show but Sarah Bolger is terrible - sorry

Going to keep this simple. Love the show, doesn't pull punches, really a great show. But I cannot stand Sarah Bolger, who plays Emily. She's over-dramatic, her over-exaggerating facial expressions are just terrible. Basically, I have a hard time watching every scene she's in.

I'm hoping she gets better, otherwise I'd just as soon watch Kristen Stewart in Twilight ...

I know, this is just my opinion and you don't have to agree. You can even convince me I'm wrong. Or again, maybe she will get better as the show goes on ... I hope so. Lol

Entertaining!

I have to say I enjoyed Mayans M. C. even more than I thought I would. First of all, Sons of Anarchy is one of my favorite shows of all-time so I was really looking forward to this spinoff. Like SoA this was created by Kurt Sutter so it has that same gritty feel to it. It balances several plots at once all the while keeping the Reyes brothers (JD Pardo and Clayton Cardenas) at the front. Much like SoA, each season continues to impress and is just as good as the other seasons. Now, while I enjoyed this show a lot it's still no where close to as good as Sons of Anarchy. I still recommend this show to everyone, especially fans of SoA, just don't compare the two.

As time goes by

Started off well, so if you can find the first two seasons it's worth a look.

Third season was alright.. I've quit watching after the first few episodes of season four... didn't even finish ep. Four. The show is decreasing at an increasing rate.

Maybe what's missing is Kurt Sutter. Whatever it is, it's no longer holding my attention.

Going to miss it

Mayans M. C. is not nearly as good as Sons of Anarchy (not much is) but it's still a really good show in its own right. Most of the negative reviews are people trying to compare it to Sons of Anarchy because it's a spin-off...don't, just take it for what it is and that's a pretty good show that's absolutely worth watching! It starts off a little slow so you may have to give it a few episodes to get into it but once you do you won't be disappointed. It's a gripping thriller with plenty of action. It's a classic Kurt Sutter show! While this last season was the weakest of the five it was still pretty good. I'm definitely going to miss this show now that's done.

Getting worse by the season

As someone else mentioned, seasons 1 & 2 were must watch TV, great storyline and very well acted.

Season 3 the slide began, writing went to hell and now the Season 4 premier was just horrible!

Who wrote that mess? How do they even have a job?!? It's so poorly written, terrible acting by everyone involved, and just a waste of 40 minutes.

I'll watch another episode or two, but if it continues like this it'll be yet another once great show ruined by idiot writers in Hollywood with no talent.

A juxtaposition of Nancy Reagan (wife of President Ronald Reagan) and Oliver North (USMC). Oliver North, was a top level official at the National Security Council assigned to aid in negotiations for the Contras, a fighting force that was attempting to prevent a Communist regime, the Sandinistas, from taking power in Nicaragua. His involvement led to the Iran-Contra Affair, where arms were sold to Iran in exchange for the release of American hostages being held in Lebanon, then diverting the funds from those sales to aid the Contras in their fight to overthrow the Sandinista government. Moreover, the Contras facilitated the efforts of Colombian traffickers to ship cocaine into the United States in return for financing the Nicaraguan insurgency, which led to creation of the crack cocaine drug problem. Nancy Reagan's response was simply the "Just Say No" campaign. As a final study in contrast, President Reagan fired North from his position in 1986 for allegedly acting without approval from his superiors. North testified under immunity, in front of a joint congressional committee, in 1987 that his bosses, including President Reagan himself, knew everything that was going on with the negotiations and that he never once acted without prior approval from his superiors.
