Avis à la une
All Anglo cast with one minority who's the self sacrificing hero of the day. Big Surprise.
The movie could have saved money by doing without the horrible acting of the main characters wife and daughter.
The cgi is shocking to the point I definitely think the mega drive console has better graphics. All that flame with a tiny hint of smoke . Now as a firefighter I could spend the next hour detailing the endless list of faults and failures .
I found this to be a stand made for television disaster movie. The plot is similar to The Towering Inferno, but worse on how they executed it. There no suspense to be found in this movie because it happen pretty quickly to have any tension to it. Also, it gets predictable throughout and you can easily guess what happen next. It mostly what you expect from a fire building type of movie that doesn't bring anything new to itself and is rather bland. The characters themselves are extremely bland and not worth remembering about. Worst is the Michael who is your standard jerk boss you see in any movies out there and doesn't receive a proper comeuppance since he is responsible for the disaster. And the acting itself is really terrible with either on how it feels awkward or doesn't know how to act.
The effects of the movie range from decent practical fire effects to terrible CGI ones that isn't convincing at all. Also, disaster aren't anything too frightening or impressive.
Overall, it's a bland movie that isn't worth watching.

A fire slightly larger than a bonfire breaks out in a high-rise trapping some people on the 8th floor. The fire is so small and scattered until the last moments that it seems like it could be put out with a couple of chunky spits. But somehow, it's portrayed as the biggest fire in the city's history. Perhaps it was a different kind of fire as shutting doors keeps the flames out of rooms. Also, the smoke gets intense but less affecting as the fire starts engulfing the building, making the characters breathe with more ease with less coughing. The fire department chief seems confused and clueless all the time like it's his first fire...etc... I especially enjoyed the magically changing shoes of the female character trapped in the building -from high-heels to flats between scenes. The personal dramas of each character is so forced that you can't relate any emotion. You just wish they all died.
In the end, viewers watching this title might really feel like they are in a deadly inferno... but as in 'wasting an hour or so', in Dante's hell.

Found this title on Tubi earlier today, wanting just background noise, but " Deadly Inferno" is actually entertaining for a camy low budget straight to DVD film.
The main story, there is a fire in a commercial building. The cranky owner tells the floor supervisor, turn the fire sprinklers off. He says this is not a good idea- in case there is a fire. Guy lights a smoke, and then, well, starts an explosion in the basement.
Throughout the film, we see numerous burnings, people trying to save their lives and very bad CGI. I did keep asking myself, the firefighters trying to save the four people on floor eight, they had no breathing mask? The one firefighter is able to go through the fire without his jacket? Hmmm not really believable, but fun story.

- GaffesAt 30:48, Colin tells Michael "I think your leg is broken", then at 30:55, Colin says "I'm going to make you a tourniquet". Tourniquets are contraindicated for open limb injuries except when needed to control bleeding. Michael is not bleeding enough to warrant a tourniquet.
