So Cold the River opens with former hotshot documentary director Erica Shaw making a slideshow for someone’s funeral. It’s about all the work she can get since one of her films proved a convicted killer’s innocence. Only for him to slaughter his entire family as soon as he was released.

One of those slide shows leads to her being hired by Alyssa Bradford to shoot a biography of her father, Campbell Bradford. With a bottle of Pluto Water, mineral water with alleged healing properties as her only clue, she heads to the town of West Braden Indiana to begin shooting. It looks like the long-awaited Enchanted sequel, Disenchanted, will mix things up even more than expected, with newcomer Gabriella Baldacchino now set to play the lead role. Disney have now revealed that Baldacchino, whose credits include roles in School Spirits and Ask for Jane, will join the fray as Morgan Philip, who many will remember as the daughter of Patrick Dempsey's character. Baldacchino's involvement was announced along with confirmation that production on Disney's Disenchanted has now begun, with Walt Disney Studios sharing a look at Amy Adams alongside director Adam Shankman.

Morgan appeared in the first movie as a spirited six-year-old and was portrayed by Rachel Covey, but Disenchanted will pick up with events all these years later, with Morgan now older and taking a lead role in proceedings as portrayed by Gabriella Baldacchino. "I love that our school's haunted!" Freestyle Digital Media has released an official trailer for an indie teen comedy titled School Spirits, marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Allison Eckert. This will be available to watch on VOD in early June for those who want to watch. A girl from Chicago relocates to a small town only to find it is inhabited by ghosts. A struggle against a bad spirit ensues with two of her new friends in order to keep the town's children safe. Tiffany Alvord (from "Guilty Party") stars as Zoey, joined by Teala Dunn, Piper Curda, Christian Delgrosso, Audrey Whitby, Philip Labes, Josh Levi, and Mark Bloom. This looks fun and low key, the ghosts aren't so much scary as they are amusing and strange. Set up as a silly, old-school teen comedy, filled with wisecracks and stereotypes, School Spirits soon turns to the supernatural side that is hinted at in its title, what with old ghosts running around, acting foolish, and what-not. Then, the trailer suggests, things get a little bit spooky. Oh, the jokes continue, but it's possible that the jokes may have damaging consequences for the three young women who form the heart of the story. The likable ensemble cast features Tiffany Alvord, Teala Dunn, Piper Curda, Christian Delgrosso, Audrey Whitby, and Alysia Reiner. Allison Eckert directed.
