Bujaui Tansaeng

This is called "Becoming a Billionaire" on Viki TV Service. Enjoyed this older drama: the main male lead was adorable and played the role perfectly of a take charge young man born out of wedlock who is in search of his father that he believes is a rich head of a company since he was given a family crest type of necklace from his mother. There is always a villain rival in these types of romance dramas and I usually end up hating them, but for some reason I actually ended up liking the villain who was played by Namgoong Min - you just had to have a little empathy for him who was trying so hard to save his father's company because they were bullied all their lives by higher up companies. All in all a good drama and 20 episodes is about the right length. If I have one criticism it would be that they kept introducing new older male characters that could be the father after making you suspect the main 3 best friends. It just seems that some of the new characters introduced came a little late.

The characters are endearing and the humor Is constant. The story comes together in a nice way and the story makes enough sense. Only thing is the birth secret is dragged out too long. But that is the crux of the story. If this had been 16 episodes instead of 20 it would have been tighter without some silly delay tactics and unnecessary painful jokes could have been left out.

Ji Hyun Woo is funny and mischievous. The role suits him perfectly and he even gets to show off his guitar skills. Lee Bo Young plays it serious but her stingy behavior is laugh out loud funny. The versatile Lee Si Young is the comic relief as a ditzy spoiled woman with an eating disorder. She does a great job. Not easy considering the story and director made her go over the top too often. Nam Koong Min is good at acting slimy. Can see why he was such a great villain in later series. The older generation are familiar to k drama fans and are all good.

Worth a watch for the laughs.
