Avis à la une
well its an average movie with few good songs , with new casts with strong skills of acting and mesmerizing Mahira khan. the story is good but it has a flaw of extending story for no reasons very bored scenes. people do get bored even after the first half cause its take you know where because you already know the end, the only reason i have given it 5 stars is because of the new cast who acted nicely and Mahira is grooming as an actress. my suggestion is if u really interested in watching the movie find a cinema with low price so u can come out anytime u wanted to, but one must appreciate the choreography of the songs dance and the blend of songs in different languages, and choosing the cast wisely.
I liked Ho Mann Jahaan on average, but indeed it was entertaining. I think theme of the movie is to "you want it, go get it".
It was to pursue your dreams, be tolerant of other's view and don't control your children lives too much. Music is just used as an objective. It might be difficult for some people to digest, MUSIC AS A PROFESSION but i guess it was basically an elite youth oriented movie, where such scenario is a possibility.
I was quite pleasantly surprised by Sheheryaar's acting. Different expressions of Arhaan's personality were played well and his character was quite interesting. I really liked his acting in some of the intense scenes esp climax.
Adeel Hussain was also great as Nadir. Although he was able to show Nadir's emotions effectively. An elite with familial issues and unable to coupe with drastic decisions, Adeel portrayed it perfectly.
Mahira Khan looked stunning. She played the role brilliantly.
Sonya Jahan looked graceful and glamorous. Her acting was great and in the short span that her character was given, she was able to shine in her role.
Music, i must say could have been better, mean if you are taking the cast to Coke Studio, the music atleast touch the levels of Yaar Daadhi, Lamha or Tajdaar e haram.
Direction and cinematography was astonishing. All the shots of Karachi, boats, northern areas, crop fields, and seaside will provide you a glimpse of true pakistan. Each and every frame was exquisite and colorfull.
All the characters were relatable with our surroundings and the way they had their conflicts arise because of the different way of thinking of different people. I also liked the small comedy punches in the film and the funniest thing is that this is usually what happens in real life. The other thing that movie made an impact for me ehile entertaining as well. Story showed that people can have different opinions yet they could live peacefully. We should be tolerant and this is what we lack.
Ho Mann Jahaan is highly recommended. As our industry rose from the ashes, please watch and support.

This movie is the first major Pakistani release of the year, and quite honestly fell a bit flat.
The concept on which this movie is based upon is outdated and contradictory to the kind of movies that Pakistan has been releasing thus far. The script was basic, acting mediocre at times and general execution and direction dull.
I didn't see any diverse acting skills, instead some of the scenes came off as forced, stilted and overacted. The editing was choppy and the promise of a musical extravaganza failed to meet any expectation whatsoever.
After watching some recent release's that the Pakistan film industry has to offer this effort fell far below to what else is out there. It seems that there is a danger for future releases to fall in to this tired concept and just because it has a couple of big name stars attached to the project that it is automatically acceptable for an international release.
A poor effort overall. Leaves a lot to be desired.

I truly believe that there is nothing better to alleviate stress of any and all kinds then watching a good movie, for some time now Pakistani cinema has seen some sort of a resurgence, not only in terms of the market share and the bragging rights but also in terms of the quality of the films. The trend was started by Khuda Kay Liye, then came Bol and the trickle down effect has seen the local talent from directors, producers to the many up and coming actors both male and female come to the fore and churn out unexpected hits that not only resonate with our culture but are appreciated abroad as well. I was cautiously optimistic going in for Ho Mann Jahan, the film had everything going for it from tremendous marketing with a tie in with the marketing juggernaut that is the brand Coca Cola, to a very talented though somewhat underrated cast. The many vignettes on TV commercials seemed very promising, little did i know that the film will completely blow my expectations out of the water.
It won't be an understatement to say that this is a modern classic by all accounts and i am not saying this because i am a Pakistani, you have to see the film to understand how beautifully its crafted. First and foremost, the three main actors: Mahira Khan, Adeel Hussain and Sheheryar Munawar deserve huge props for their performances, each embodied their character and were pulling out all the stops and seemed to be living their roles. The ever present Bushra Ansari was great as usual and even the cameos by Hamza Ali Abbasi, Zoheb Hassan and Fawad Khan were very welcome and never seemed to be just filler with no substance. The film being a musical had to have good music and although i didn't like every song in the movie, its safe to say that it caters to a variety of tastes in music and does have something for everyone, although Atif Aslam's solo number 'Dil Kare' seemed to stand out amongst others.
The cinematography was superb, there were scenes where the relative newcomers were outclassing the veterans and were pushing all the right buttons to generate a reaction from the audience. The narrative of the film revolves around friendship and so it has its fair share of variety when it comes to plot twists and memorable moments. I was especially impressed by Sheheryar Munawar's performance, he seemed such a natural in his role and it seems that sky is really the limit for his future. Mahira was looking ravishing but that doesn't mean that she was all eye candy, this was probably her most complete performance yet. Adeel Hussain did a very commendable job as well. To conclude, this is a film that simply can't be missed by a Pakistani cinema goer, as for the audiences abroad, if u want to see a film that is representative of Pakistan through and through; packs a punch and is thoroughly entertaining from start to finish without relying on silly item numbers, you can't do much better than this.
