Good screenplay!

The writing is good and actually shows characters in different stages of their gangster lives. But, the editing and sound was a big letdown. Overall, a good watch!!

Underrated!

This movie is a piece of artwork - the cinematography was stunning. It is a great look into criminal behaviour and how it influences kids (Appoy) and adults (e.g. Appoy's uncle) alike, esp. under their lifestyles. Also, it was impressive how they used various languages. This is a must-watch.

Any Film lover should watch this - under rated!

I've watched this movie more than 10 times and every time, there is something for me to discover. The director lived as the movie. every scene perfectly crafted with so many hidden messages. Awesome cinematography. As for me. this movie is worth an Oscar. I beg any movie lover to watch this movie. It needs more recognition. Every character is this movie has a story to tell you, watch it.

Must-watch!

I honestly never thought Malaysian Tamil movie could be this good. Cinematography and storyline both executed so well. Honest, strong acting from all the actors. This is a story with deep message about the struggle to live in today's system, how it affects our future generations. There should be more reviews here. Recommended 👍

A peer into Indian community in Malaysia during the 90s

Set in 90s, this movie tells a story about an Indian family and the way they cope with everyday life in Malaysia. Focusing on issues that often associated with Indian communities in Malaysia ( gangsterism, poverty, etc), this movie gives us a solid story telling on how this issues are deal from an Indian family point of view. While I appreciate the movie good storytelling & metaphors, I wish the story would have better pace and better focus on characters development. At times, the story seems draggy and characters actions seems random. It's definitely a good watch especially you wanted to peer into Indians community, their way of life and their deal with social issues.
