Avis à la une
I am suspicious when the other reviewers give a film a 1 or a 10. I am sure most of the 10s were connected with the movie and most of the 1s were slamming it for being over-the-top and cheap. It was an over-the-top and cheap movie but it had some charm and kept me amused. The spunky red headed female junkie turned avenger June Taylor was an OK character but over-the-top. She kicks her needle habit in like 3 days and then becomes raring for action. Tim Russ, the black Vulcan from Star Trek Voyager directed and played the head villain JD. The most over the top actor was Sheriff Corbin, Christian Kane, who was allegedly fighting the drug plague in his town but seemed questionable. Yeah he was massively over the top too.
The plot was convoluted and its various twists were kind of lame which showed its bad writing. June's old dealers kidnapped her brother which provided the story's motivation. The story had a lot of shoot outs where some of them made little sense. Add an improbable escape from almost certain death for our heroin-less heroine.
The movie was picked up by Amazon Freevee where I just watched it, which is hardly a home of good movies. But in spite of its inherent cheapness and melodrama, I still liked it.

Must watch! Keeps you at the edge of your seat and the subtle humor is brilliant!
This movie was great! Great actors that played spectacular characters! This needs to be put out for the world to see! So so good!
Have only just watched this movie, after waiting what seemed like ages to be able to view it in Australia, it certainly did not disappoint, Christian Kane and James Duval were incredibly in their respective rolls, a most competent cast all up. Congratulations to the director and author for the story telling.
Can't wait for Subject Unknown.
This is a pretty good movie with a couple of twists that make it different from similar ones. The acting isn't great, but it's okay since it is getting the message out. The main thing that I have a problem with this movie about, and I have a lot of times with other movies about drug addicts, as I am a recovering addict, and my first round of you saying I got clean and was totally clean from alcohol and everything, never smoked cigarettes or anything else that wouldn't get me high, I relapsed and was out there again for 10 years and got clean again. After having major surgery last year, had no choice but to take pain pills, did okay at first, then start abusing them and then buying them on the street. I have continue to abuse off and on for the last year, but have been back on track for about a month now. The main thing that aggravated me about this movie is it made it seem like the girlfriend just tying up the female addict and seeming as if it was only one night or 24 hours is laughable. You will withdraw for more than 24 hours, but the physical part of it is just a tip of the iceberg. I wish that they would consult with real life addicts before they make these kinds of movies. The psychological part is the worst part because you have to change your total way of thinking, and isolation at rehab for at least 30 days, for most people it takes more than that if they don't have the strength enough to cut off the bad influences. And I'm not going to debate this issue, because I know it to be facts from personal experience and experience with other addicts, addiction is a disease that it can be managed and put into remission but you are sobriety has to be maintained. Anyone watching this movie with just think that you can tie someone up for 24 hours while they withdrawal and that's all it takes to withdraw and that the person is all fixed now is ridiculous not to mention misleading to those who already don't understand addiction. You are never totally fixed, nor cured, it's a daily battle.
