Set in the Edo Period, Sena Denemon (Hashizo Okawa) is a widowed father with a young son, he is an incorruptible government official, a man of highest integrity. Sena is sent out by the Shogun on an important mission to flush out corruption now running rampant in the provinces. Sena infuriates the crooked Inspectors refusing bribes and the advances of a femme fatale . Flash forward , years later, following the untimely death of his father, the son of Sena Denemon also played by Okawa has been raised in a Ninja Clan.
