It's funny as hell but the humor in it is inconsistently adult. It's a show you think is okay to watch with family and in a split second isn't. It would be ok watered down a bit or amped up all the way but this half and half makes it a bumpy ride.
Its kind of like that person that complains about how hard it is to be attractive. That whole "we're so unique and quirky" is annoying. The opening for one of the episodes has the narrator literally saying "Our history and culture are the envy of the rest of the world", yea its really not. British history is interesting, but hardly enviable. Saying British culture is the envy of the rest of the world couldn't be farther from the truth, and isn't the entire premise of this show about how much British culture sucks sometimes. "oh we're so polite", "we leave other nations utterly baffled", "oh we have so much tradition","oh Americans say things", give me a break. Watching this show is amazing cringe inducing.
I appreciate what they were trying to do but we don't need 15 examples of each tiny thing. The introductory narration was about 4 x longer than it needed to be. I couldn't make it through a whole episode.
Yeah. This show is just a bunch of Brits talking about all the awkward things human beings do everywhere. Same kind of stuff that Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David do - minus the humor. Kinda makes me wish I could kick the entire British Commonwealth in its super tight ass.
