Outlast 2

OUTLAST 2 (2017) is a horror survival game that, similar to the first game, has you play as another investigative journalist, that is soon ambushed by a horrific cult. While this game is still pretty unsettling and at times terrifying, it doesn't quite pack the same punch as the first game.

This game has definite Jonestown/ Manson family vibes, yet takes place in remote Arizona desert, with a twisted pseudo-religious cult. As a player, you are made to be highly defenseless and vulnerable hich amps up the tension.

Outlast II was a game filled with difficult challenging terrain to navigate and psychologically creepy due to the story and characters in the game.

"Investigative Journalists Blake and his wife Lynn, travel to the Arizona Desert to pursue a lead on a popular suicide, but are soon ambushed by a mysterious and terrifying cult."

Overall, this game is a pretty great horror game, fun to play, and definitely disturbing. I've heard it had to be severely edited to allow it to be able to have the M (mature rating). This was a great way to get creeped out.

I really enjoyed this one. I thought it was a great game. This sequel is great, scary jump scares. Creepy atmosphere and other horrific/effed up stuff. My only gripe about this game is the ending was confusing (NO SPOILERS!). Other than that though I still recommend this one! Really enjoyed it!

This game is a classic in the horror video game genre,i don't even know why some people here are giving it a bad review..look dont expect it to be like the first one which is also a master piece,dont compare the two because we know its hard to beat a first release practicly in most franchises and Red Barrel wasnt aiming to top the first one,it was aiming to give fans a different story and perspective from the first one of which they did very well.

After I finished the outlast and the dlc I headed into this and well,it's a breathtaking horror game,the jumpscares are expectable but still scary! Only one big problem that one isn't enjoyable like the first two,so sorry red barrels,only 7/10

I played this game for the first time a long time ago, I hated it and left me disappointed, maybe because it didn't live up with the first game. But now I got the chance to play it again, and now I understand it.

Outlast II is a bloody, gory, controversial, messed up and disturbed work of pure art. Very effortlessly, Red Barrels just have the power of horror to create a masterful horror story. Of course the story in the first Outlast is better, the characters at some point are better, but that's not the point.

The story writing was incredible, extremely complex and very mature in both storytelling and narrative design. The soundtrack and the sound effects added more to the experience its eerie aesthetics. The setting is on point, both Temple Gate and the School locations are amazingly designed. The graphics and the visuals are insane, these graphics are basically one of the best things I've ever seen in a video game, truly impressive and visually stunning.

Overall, Outlast II is not for everyone. If you're looking for fun stuff this may not be for you. This game will make you terrorized, stressed out, weirded out, disturbed and maybe traumatized.

Unforgettable experience, Highly recommended 100%.
