By Light of Desert Night

I appreciate indie filmmaking and the work that goes into it.This one falls short of good or entertaining. This isn't a case of some complicated filmmaking. They took a camera and filmed three girls in a car and in a tent by the car. There is nothing else. People have made much better films for free with their iPhones. The poorly shot car scenes aren't the entire miss of this movie attempt. In regards to the Tarantino reference, this is nowhere near that universe! Unnecessary loud never ending dialogue and exaggerated blood splatter doesn't make you Tarantino. Not even close. There is nothing cool about girls who only talk about and make catty remarks to each other while their entire lives revolve around the same guy. Horrible forced dialogue that isn't edgy but cheesy and dumb. This isn't "strong female leads" it's quite opposite. There is no substance. No explanations. It all lacks common sense and is pointless. Can't believe I was tricked into pre-ordering this mess. This just isn't a good movie. Not because it's a complicated low budget movie but because it is simply not a good one.

CORRECTED FOR SPELLING ERRORS: Produced by Ashley Pugh, 'By Light of Desert Night' was filmed in unseemingly various locations that captured the feeling of isolation coupled with Tarantino-esque dialogue establishing the characters & laying down the plot's foundation to build up for an exciting series of twists & turns. The writing and camera-work were excellent, and the actors executed their roles very well. The entertainment value given by this film far exceeds it budget-creating value on a production is what makes for a successful producer!

Script writing is super bad, story goes nowhere, no consistency in the character-arc (some times they are good, sometimes bad, no reason for anything change in motivation), nor character development. The story has more plot-holes than Swiss cheese. Clumsy directing, poorly shot scenes, endless, annoyingly loud dialogues, bad editing job. No budget at all on production design (the whole film set is just somebody's SUV, the poorly dressed actors, bad makeup - everything is poor and cheap). This is the worst film I have ever watched. Got it to see because of its imdb score but turned out to be a huge disappointment.

Horrible casting for the April girl. Horrible acting she isn't believable enough to keep our attention. There is no character development, she's mumbling under her breath or whining. Not who we want to look at nor root for. No professional reviews of this anywhere because it's not even a real movie. Don't bother.

Anyone rating this movie higher than a 2 should be considered brain dead! Deplorable low budget movie with loud annoying amateur cast.
