Great doco about Aussie punk legends

It's nice to watch a documentary about Aussie punk for a change.

It covered a lot of ground; not just about the Saints and their influence on punk music. It moved along with the speed of a Saints song as well - so I was engaged throughout.

I wasn't expecting it to cover so much about politics though. I understand a mention is necessary to indicate the landscape that gave birth to punk music. This documentary seemingly featured more about politics and police brutality than it did The Saints themselves - bit frustrating.

Still, it celebrates the Saints and other Brisbane bands. It could easily be re-titled "Brisbane: Police, Politics and Punk" such was the subject matter and range of coverage.

There are many, many clips from newsreels, film, television programs and broadcasts, etc, as well as photographs of bands, venues and street scenes, seen during the program. Many unidentified voices of television interviewers and hosts are heard as well. None of them are specifically identified in the credits. Over 70 sources of archival footage are named.
