Avis à la une
I would have given this about a six if not for the idiotic ending. The storyline was different, the movie itself good, not great, but the ending ruined anything good it had going for it.
This has been done before a few times and they were all better. This film is supposed to be about psycho professor who is SOOOOO terrifying that the college students he abducts don't even try to escape after 3 days of silent torture, despite no real abuse or trama inflicted on them. I mean they do suggest torture but I'm conditioned to seeing more brutality so its takes real skill with timing music etc to scare us with no violence. Just long periods of hearing drones and loud alarms while a girl is tied to a chair I guess just didn't cut it. Occassional opera over dialogue also made it even sloggier. (if thats a word)
Maybe people who watch less horror will enjoy this at the level of a police procedural on TV. There IS the good detective doing the usual profiling of victims and the UNSUB and it was so boring even from THAT point I felt like I'd rather sleep. It was 6pm so not bedtime.
I just didnt find the villian scary or threatening and the women never seemed in so much jeopardy and that 1 or 2 could just smash him over head with ANYTHING. Its would be like if Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs is kidnapping college girls, for companionship+ but he didn't have a dog, or a dungeon pit, or a sexual identity crisis, or a bizarre hobby making original meat dresses out or real human skin. Nope just a man who looks like the guy who buys a scratch & win ticket while he's paying for gas. Not menacing in ANY way. There's a detective who asks the one question that every killer dreads to be discovered from: Are you married? Wow. The detective is as badly drawn a character as the women who are an insult to our intelligence and the ending is the cherry of this mud cake of a film. Made no sense at all. I feel like this whole movie was a tax write off but they hired real actors and its too bad but they had nothing to work with. Honestly skip it. Your time has value.

2 women cannot fight for a 50s old professor and lock up in a house and walk freely but cannot escape ? It was the stupidest thing I ever seen. Rename the movie to stupid women more appropriate.
Very like 'Kept Women' movie. Completely the same really. But I watched it all. Cheesy but ok drama.
Adam Dorsey as the Detective is the only saving grace of this movie unfortunately the rest of the cast look like they have just come out of acting school. The interaction between the two captive women is laughable and as for the ending, well watch and see.
