What's wrong with all the people who complain about writing and acting? The acting is perfect and there are no plot holes. As it's said at the beginning of the episode, the characters are going into troubles that may appear in every man life and they go from bad to worse. The result is really funny and sometimes, emotional as well. But in the end, they fix everything and warn people about overreacting in an entertaining way. They have fun and learn about life, and so do you if you watch it. Don't listen to the haters. This show has everything that a sitcom should have. It's funny, with nice characters and realistic situations in a teen life. Watch it and come back here to fix it's rating so this show will have a better chance despite all the haters :D
Cooper Barrett (Jack Cutmore-Scott), Barry Sandel (James Earl), and Neal Fissley (Charlie Saxton) are school friends, and twenty something roommates. They come up with a hangover cure. There's the neighbor Kelly Bishop (Meaghan Rath), Cooper's brother Josh (Justin Bartha) and his wife Leslie (Liza Lapira). The premise is that they make stupid mistakes teaching the audience what not to do.
This is a fun likable multi-ethnic young group. None of them are outrageously funny. There is good chemistry. It's nothing special and no big laughs. It works to some extent but canceled after a half season.

all in all i enjoy it, it gets more then a chuckle out of me which now a days is fairly hard to do.
the cast is entertaining and the story is pretty funny.
i don't know what they replaced with this but i can say i was never interested in it.
I'm just waiting on the next episode to be put on Hulu so i can watch it.
i am honestly excited to see where the show goes from here. I read some of the reviews before deciding to post because over all they are fairly negative, but i think this show deserves a honest shot on the line up. it is centered to a certain age group and it nails it's age group on it's head.

Cooper Barrett does nothing new in the 2010s of single-camera 20- something to 30-something bachelor sitcoms. It's venturing in a sea of canceled shows, finished shows and currently airing shows that have more to offer than it.
Cooper Barrett represents a skeleton of a great show where the writing just isn't good enough. The show could really use some sharper, funnier writing. The jokes aren't hitting that well consistently, the show is so close to being funny, because the style of comedy in this show is right up my alley. The cast is fine, but they lack the pizazz, the flare and true symmetry of a cast from let's say, New Girl or Don't Trust the B----, and Don't Trust the B- --- is not that much better than Cooper but what it has is sharper timing on jokes and better delivery.
Cooper Barrett himself is probably the lowest point of the show, and that's not terrible since he's just dull and not intolerable, however he seems like a Nickelodeon sitcom teen grown up and given his own show, he's generic in the sense that he ends up attracting most of the attractive side characters in the show and he looks good, but his interests and personality is nothing unique enough to write home about.
Cooper Barrett is just enjoyable enough for me to finish watching the first season and I'm genuinely curious if the show falling short was just due to the show not having enough time to truly find it's groove or if the cast/writing wasn't up to par.

From the look of it, it's a show with so much promise. Unfortunately, it's badly executed. Is it trying to be Malcolm in the middle? Garrett is constantly talking to the camera as a narrative, then the scenes cut back and forth. It's mimicking Malcolm in the middle but without the sweetness and innocence. Why does every show these days have to promote drug use? Every time someone says party, there has to be a guy in the next scene with a bag of pills. Then the next cut has to be excessive drinking. Then a trashy apartment. Is that really what we call entertaining? Is that the 'best' American humor on TV? This kind of screen writing is just lazy. This isn't going to be a good start for shows in 2016. Sadly.
