Avis à la une
Awful script, awful acting, awful music (the worst of all), i might have missed a category for godawful movies for a special group of people or something or it was school project by children and in that case i give them an A.
Even skipping trough it didn't make it go fast enough.

The bad reviews this film has received are well warranted, not because the acting is rubbish - it isn't that bad. Not because the script is rubbish - that isn't so bad either. Simply because it is unintelligible. Okay, we understand the victims have been lured to this remote spot by a family of witches; one of them is a killer, and that initially only one of them is a killer. And cannibalism appears to come into the equation, but if you don't understand what is going on...Okay, if there is a psychopath on the loose and he is killing people at random, there is nothing more to understand, but when there is an apparent rational motive albeit a supernatural one...
Obviously made on a very low budget, it grossed less than most A List actors earn in a day. Hopefully the younger members of the cast will go on to bigger and greater things, a very easy task.

A lesbian family member is getting married and the family is going to spend the weekend on the site of a disused government fort for the ceremony. When they get there they find that her partner's family live by a very old fashioned and austere regime; almost like you would imagine oldy-world, strict Catholics to be. They say they're descended from the persecuted families of Salem, but are they as simple and innocent as they seem?
I've given this a 4 instead of a 3 because I quite enjoyed it and I managed to watch it right to the end. I nearly gave it a 3 because of the music score which grated on my nerves, throughout. Music is a subjective thing, so I could be being too judgemental here, but this has to have the worst music score I have ever heard in any film I've seen. Some may think it's appropriate for the atmosphere of the film; I thought it was absolutely awful and spoiled the whole thing (for me). That said I tolerated it and got through the movie. Did I regret watching it? No! Would I put it on again if a friend came round? Maybe as a warm-up movie if we had something better to watch afterwards.

Kate (Persephone Apostolou) travels with her former fiancé Cody (Mike Jones) to the house of her estranged parents for the wedding of her lesbian sister Aggie (Megan Hensley) with Rose (Danika Golombek). Kate and Cody pose as if they were engaged and after the lunch party with her family, they head to a remote place where Rose's family lives. They have dinner with the weird family of Rose that wears black and they go to the beach for the pagan ceremony. However Kate and her aunt Paula (Macall Gordon) stay behind since Paula is not feeling well. Soon they discover the creepy secret of the dark family.
"7 Witches" is an amateurish horror B-movie unbelievably bad. As previously mentioned in another reviews, the storyline is original and had potential. Unfortunately the screenplay and the execution are awful and in the end watching this film is a waste of time. Last but not the least, the viewer sees a bunch of cannibal killers and no witchcraft despite the dumb title. My vote is two.

If you're wondering where you were going to get your next 'horror' fix with just enough LGBT inserted into the storyline to make it more contemporary, look no further, 7 Witches has got you covered. Provided that little nuances such as good acting and competent direction AREN'T in that same search, you should still be on the right track with this film.
Now don't let that very minimal subplot get in the way of your attempt to enjoy this. There's no sjw grandstanding, socio-political message, or even mildly gratuitous girl-girl action going on. If I had to guess, I'd say the only reason it exists at all is to more easily propel the story and have some minimally 'erotic' scenes of women kissing, to clip for the previews in the theaters.
There are actually several positives here. The story in and of itself is one that seems somewhat original (baring other 'family' flicks of similar genres) and the cinematography is more than pleasant, going so far as to be called "well done". We have capable camera work, as well as lighting and a script that by all standards of "independent", "art-house" or even major released films, should be at the least moderately passable.
The main problem with this witch's kettle is in the execution.
For all the stirring we get in this cauldron of suspense the final result is barely a sleeping potion. The most obvious 'ingredient' mistakenly substituted in this b grade brew of bedlam being bad actors instead of good ones. It is quite clearly the single glaring flaw in the entirety of the production and one that continuously bubbles over from the first delivered line to the very last scene.
View it for the many merits it does possess, but use the broom for sweeping (under the rug) because the 'magic' it needs to make this film fly won't be found here.
