I'm OK

The cinematography was pretty good and the acting was good but the interaction between the two main characters was generic.

A slow pace as the Boy and girl ride bicycles across America to some promised land that post apocalyptic movies always seem to have to give the film a destination for its journey Even if a platitude is not a bad idea. The problem is the film took forever to get there with only an interaction with hillbillies. Ofcourse one.of.the hillbillies seem to be the intellectual of.the group sputtering rhetoric and to justify their actions.

The ending and resolution of the conflict was rushed as if deliberately again while the film.was.slow and tedious up to that point. Clichéd and just going through the motions. Basically boring.

I thought this was a good thought provoking movie. The movie isn't big on details. This movie would be great for a college course to drive a critical thinking discussion.

The main lead is young and very inexperienced. The other characters are convincingly experienced and the characters fairly well-developed. The story-line is decent. It's basically a slice-of-life Post Apocalyptic film. There is some violence and one would wish there wasn't in such a situation. But human nature, insanity and selfishness has gotten us where we are... and look at this mess of a world we live in.

Fairly convincing, a simple story but complete and well-rounded. The one major flaw of the film (and pointed out by so many here) is three not-so-fit rednecks managing to keep up with and track two much younger and fit people riding bicycles on asphalt. That's just goofy. How did that absurd plot line make it all the way through the writers, directors and production team without someone saying, "Hey, wait a second."

Add to that the cliche "PA violent redneck" theme that's been done to death in such films... and as realistic as such scenario might be, one could wish they'd have come up with something more original and believable.

Yeah this was a weird one - started off very slow, snails pace would be unfair to a snail. The acting wasn't perfectly natural but the lead didn't have much to work with so did his best (perhaps when rocking out to a song they've got license to, he could've listened to it a little more). The other actors look the part, except for the one playing the mother, who's not a natural motherly actor so I'm not sure why the gender swap.

The film rushes it's last act, and as the below interviewer pointed out, the chase at the end is patently absurd and unbelievable. At times things just happened to keep the script moving.

The film did look beautiful though - would've worked better as a nature doco.

I love post-apocalyptic dramas, so I tend to give less-critical reviews of films in this genre.

Unfortunately, I can't do that with this film. It has very good potential, but the script and editing are dreadful. The story has incoherent scenes and sequences, along with implausible plot lines. It feels amateurish. There is some decent acting, and some of the cinematography is very good.

It's a low budget movie, and understandably, that makes it hard to do everything necessary to make a quality film. The script and the editing are usually the things that can be salvaged on a low budget, but wasn't done here.

What we're left with is a good potential story that is badly told, not so much by the actors, but by the director and editor.
