Avis à la une
So basically, "Bloodrunners" is about a bunch of gangsters in the prohibition era who are vampires. It sounds stupid, but the film ends up being (surprisingly) a bit of fun to watch.
Not only that, its dialogue and acting is cheesy, its special effects aren't that good, and it looks pretty low budget. Somehow, the film holds up from all of these problems. One of the pros come from its nicely done pacing.
It's simple fun. Don't go into it expecting it to be the next "Godfather". It's not the best, it's actually very far from the best, but it's just simple movie fun.
Overall, if you're looking a quick and cool movie experience, you can watch this. 6/10.

What can I say? The concept alone is right off the SyFy channel. However, the acting of a few of the characters was decent. Ice-T was better than expected. Mike MacFeddan was a not too bad as the crooked cop. Peter Patrakios chewed up the scenery with no control over his inner monologue. Chris Jame Boylin was a sexy beast who's handyman skills made the movie worth watching.
Surprisingly, the movie was better than expected and the end built to a fulfilling climax. It wasn't a waste of time after all... I may even watch it again.

A dirty cop starts to believe that his town is controlled
by a group of vampires. I try not to take this kind of movies
too serious, and you shouldn't either.
Right of the bat, i could not tell if this was prohibition 2020 or the 1920s. Getting mixed signal about that direction there. You also get to meet Ice T with a big fat diamond earring which i guess men back then wear. The dialogue from the first officer yapping away sounds 20th century. The editing where the singer performs one song had multiple annoying dissolves. And then we are back to the past when the waitress talks with 1920s accent. Confused... could not watch it. Oh don't forget the vampire who did the matrix move in the bed scene.
Now if this movie is told and shot and edited.. in the classic way, i bet there is a descent movie in there somewhere. I have to fail this one. Next project please
This movie really isn't very good. At all. Acting is terrible, dialogue really bad. I LIKE low-budget, cheesy vampire flicks, and this was just. Bad. All around. Hey it other people liked it, more power to them, but I almost gave up watching it a couple times. I don't get why the rating is so high, I've watched 4 star flicks I've enjoyed much, much more.

- AnecdotesThe location for the "dungeon under the speakeasy" was an ACTUAL speakeasy back in the 1920s. The secret room was hidden under the Star Hotel in Marcus Hook, PA - a port frequented by sailors back in the day. The original hidden stairways and plastered walls can be seen in the movie.
- GaffesA shipment of bottles from Canada is encased in crates bearing the maple leaf. The maple leaf has been a recognized symbol of Canada since the 1850s. However, Canada was still flying the Union Jack in 1933 and didn't adopt the maple leaf symbol, until October 22, 1964 and was proclaimed into law by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (the Queen of Canada) on February 15, 1965.
