Hunt: Showdown

Crytek has made one of the best battle royale/survival pvp games ever.

This game is not for the casual cod players or apex legends players, no, this is a true thinking mans shooter where the reckless end up dead. Perma death is a huge part of this game. Before each match you hire a Hunter and equip him/her with weapons and tools to hunt contracts (monsters) in Louisiana swamps in the late 19th century. If your hunter dies during the mission, he is gone for good along with everything you carried with you. Up to eleven other hunters also hunt the contracts on the large maps (two maps at the time of this review, Lawson delta and Stillwater bayou). You can go at it in solo, duo or trios, the first being the hardest because you face duo or trios by yourself.

If you succeed your mission, you level up your hunter and can add traits (perks) that make him better. Be it longer stamina, take more damage, bandage faster, steady aim or what ever traits you add, you will build a powerhouse of a Hunter (up to 15 slots of traits) for the next match. But it could all end if your hunter dies... and it's back to square one again.

I would like to add, to all you pve players, that you can play a whole match without meeting any other players. Also, Crytek recently added pve missions.

I will not go into details about monsters, contracts, hunters, weapons and traits and will let you experience it by yourself.

Hunt showdown is definitely one of the best games I have ever played and it's not like the other multiplayer games its like call of duty multiplayer and zombies except its not like call of duty at all anyways I have played over 300 hours and I definitely recommend it

The potetntial of this game is huge. The map is great and the monsters also.

Problem is: the movement is utter garbage the gunplay is utter garbage the guns itself are also utter garbage waste of money.

Edit: Every bloody match you die because hits do not register properly or do not reg at all. I got so many proofvideos. This game is so bad made. Laughable if I wouldn't have wasted my money on it.

Crytek is without any doubt the worst AAA-wannabe-producer company.

This game is unreal People who give it a 1 star review only do due to how well the game puts across its horror factor and makes it viewer discretion clear! However the audio and quality of this game is on point and I couldn't recommend it any more. This is a must get for anyone who plays games and you should play it with others!

Throughout a match you could be being followed and must watch out for other hunters trying to kill you. There are many things to watch out for and you can hear or see other hunters in the distance or in forests. Gunshots can be heard from across the map. The range of weapons and tool is also amazing!

The amount of ignorance in this game is incredible. I cant imagine a more unsatisfying game than this. All it does is making you mad cuz 9 out of 10 deaths are caused by bad programming and other bad choices made while producing this digital rubbish.

This trash doesn't even deserve one star. As if it wasnt already enough of a campergame, they even add p2w skins which you bareley can't see. And not only in the dark. Half the hits do not land where you aim, and nope I'm not talking of bullet spread. This garbage is so immensly bad made. I just wish I could get my money back, but steam scammed be hard. I wanted to do a refund and a popup window opened and said I could go on playing and always refund later. So I wanted refund a few min later and they said I can't anymore cuz I played too long lmao. Embarassing companies...
