Has Lex Luger sold out?

The show opens with a brief clip from WWF Superstars of Tatanka on Shawn Michaels' Heartbreak Hotel claiming that Lex Luger sold out to Ted DiBiase. The first match is Diesel defending the Intercontinental Championship against Lex Luger. Mabel squashes Austin Steele. Todd Pettengill gives the SummerSlam Report. Owen Hart dominates Reno Riggins. Thurman Plugg runs over George South. We are shown an extended package about the Undertaker. Bam Bam Bigelow destroys Gary Sabaugh. The show ends with Jim Ross interviewing Ted DiBiase. A pretty dull episode.

Anecdotes
At the time, WWE Monday Night RAW (1993) was believed to have been aired live. However in reality, the initial shows were aired live but switched to taped airings after a few months. This episode is proof that the matches were indeed taped. Joseph A. Marella appears as the referee of the match between Larry Pfohl and Kevin Nash. In reality, he passed away in an automobile accident on July 4 (two weeks before the match aired). It was not until 1997 where WWE Monday Night RAW (1993) began airing live shows again after facing stiff competition from WCW Monday Nitro (1995).
